  1. I used color place I think. Not sure..don't have the cans anymore. It's pretty cheap though and my box is sealed. You can see that in my pics though..
  2. I'd amp what you have. The Xplods helped add some vocals until I finished my doors. Been thinking about it. That point becomes a wire problem. But I think I have some spare wire around somewhere. Got plenty of 22awg, but I KNOW that's not big enough. I used 18g wire on mine. 22g might be a little small but I think I've got 14g on my subs. I'm sure 22g would carry enough for door speakers.

  4. Yea..I just amped my door speakers last night! So I yanked the Xplods out and got rid of them . They sounded great on an amp but having all four JL TRs amped sounds better.lol The vocals are crazy now. I've heard the JL C2's C5's and ZR's. Those are better speakers but not really louder just more clear but I can't make out any distortion.
  5. I've freaked a lot of kids out with that light..whether it be bustin parties or pullin people over..especially with cop sirens blaring!lol
  6. ..ahead of the curve (JL)..

  7. Thanks man. I just play around with it in town. I'm going to night-shade it to match my other lights.lol
  8. I've done A LOT of work since I last posted on here. Wanted to throw some pictures on here. Comment and let me know what you think. At the end of this thread you can find a link to my previous post and follow the truck from the start. You can get a full view of the truck here. I just recently did my fenders with the spray-on bed-liner. It keeps my truck clean and turned out good. I also undercoated inside the fenders and used the spray-on at the bottoms of my doors as well. My uncle got the brush-guard for me. I bed-lined the top bar and clear-coated the entire guard. I painted my rims with 1 primer coat, 2 coats of gloss black and finished with 2 clear coats. This box takes up a lot of room in the truck, but I still have an open seat behind the driver's seat. Again, a full view of the truck. Got the chrome tail-gate handle along with roll-bars my dad made. I installed the whips and just re-finished the roll-bars. I tossed my old KC lights..I'm going to get some stealthier lights. My Kenwood Excelon x-794. It's not for show as much as performance. This thing made huge improvements to my SQ! This is an MTX-TE404. I love this 4-channel amp. Even without tuning the x-overs it sounds great. Plenty of power as I only have the gains half up and wired at 4 ohms. I'm not proud of reppin the 'ol Xplods.lol But they kill on the amp. I'm keeping them until I get the JL TR components in, which I will surface mount on the doors. Plenty of leg room up front still and very clean. I love the rubber matting and how it kinda looks stock until the speakers get bolted on the outsides of the doors. This is my favorite picture of the truck. Something about the lights and reflections.lol This is the view you get looking back in the truck. My big skull mirror. I need it to see out the back glass and my last truck (lifted '87 Chevy on 36" Mickey Thompsons)had a skull theme all around. I used spray-on bed-liner to do my running boards. It follows my blacked-out theme and will never rust. I coated the inside of my fuel cap. It took a lot of tape to avoid over-spray but it was chipped and eroding. I was putting new stop screws in and decided to bed-line my cap. It turned out lookin good. You can better see my roll-bars here along with my mini tool-box. I'm representing my local audio shop VisionAudio on my glass for them. ~Thanks for looking! *Here is a link to my first topic post on this truck..take a look: *Ford F-150* (JL Build)
  9. I tweaked my amp on the 15's and my vocals are crisp and loud. It used to only sound clean with rap now rock and country can also be thumpin and hitting all the highs too. The eXcelon made the same amount of improvements as the subs did.
  10. I finished the 4-chan amp install and got the eXcelon in since this..big difference!
  11. -This is a video of my shakin my buddy's house apart. We were installing my new 4-channel amp and killin some time. Truck battery was almost dead here too. We had to jump it afterwords but was still knockin!
