I'm running 2 SD-2 12's (D4) in a sealed box. I dont know if they need more power or the box is to small.. Im running them at 4 ohms on a SQ-1200d, so 510w and they sound like my old set up. which was 2 p1s on a sony xplod 1400w amp. it kinda pisses me off that i spent 600 bucks and it sounds like shit. The only positive thing is my lights dont dim now. I want to build a new box once it gets warmer. Sealed, but bigger. Or ported. Trucks a single cab so i dont have any room at all. I really want to know if i can run them at 1ohm, 1000 watts and be okay. Will it give more bass? or is it just using way more power.?

i do. Sometimes. i just like to point out why i get a bad rap. Some even say "steve has a "reputation" of being a dick".......when that isn't true. Its not a "reputation" its a few people LIKE THIS GUY who make other people think that. My reputation to people is pretty good usually, unless they do me wrong FIRST. Then its open game. I try my best to ignore a lot of stuff i see though. Whats worse is the guy who see's this little coversation (in the o.p.) and takes THAT guys side. Now he thinks i'm a dick too. the internet world can be lucrative but you DO pay the price. Don't let anyone fool you into thinking its all fun and games. Hey guys, I'm looking to upgrade from 2 rockford fosgate punch p1s, and a "1200w Sony amp" to something better. I was thinking about 1 sa12, ported. But i was told i dont have enough depth.. 6-8inchs. and that would be on the passenger side. So i dont have any room at all. Its a daily driver (mostly night since i work the graveyard shift at UPS) i'm not looking at numbers or anything.. i just want something that sounds good and hits hard. Would 2 of these 8's be good for a single cab truck? Theres not much room to do anything. Right now i have 2 12s in a sealed box. Should i get 2 8s,12s or 10s??
