  1. lol those guys do not know anything about car audio. I remember when I was younger they had a myth about subwoofers breaking a winshield. they used one huge (3 foot?) subwoofer and also had a sunroof of some sort. they called the myth busted. not sure if they understood the concept of multiple subwoofers and ton of watts. doubt they would attempt the myth again considering the cost of the myth lol I'm pretty sure they did 160 + db at 16 hz. That sounds like a few world records even today. They didn't go through the process of reinforcement and the other variables needed which is what the problem was with the episode. I've always hoped that mainstream media would get an accurate representation of this industry. Maybe this is it. if you watch how their sub goes out of control at the end you will see it went off balance therefor it had no suspension. If it had some balencing tension on the drive shaft where it moved the cone they could've gone a few more rounds. With the number they pulled out wasn't all that bad but they could've done more if they had planed the construction of their homemade sub...
  2. looks good!! if only i could slam it when its parked and raise it when I drive it. Air bags might come into play..
  3. Well after 10 years of having this exploder I have dropped some money in it looks wise and now I want to lower it a bit. I don't know much on lowering or how low to go. But I will give you a pic to look at and y'all can tell me what I can do.
  4. Its the beginning premace of A/C. He just needs to chill the water to make it cold to flow cold air into the work area. Then it can also be used as a heater to just add hot water. They use those things for cooling towers for marine A/C to lower themp of the hot water coming out of the condensor water jacket to produce cold air. Same premace as a house unit but is 20% more eficient by using water
  5. Well I'm back lol I just took a new vid just gotta post it on yt and one here to let y'all see what it does I still haven't got it metered since business is slow and not much pay but I need to upgrade the electrical to keep up with the BRZ2400.1 give me 10 mins and you will see the latest on it.
  6. Well I got a 142.63 on 700 watts off the crunch amp and switching over to this hifonics it sounds way louder so I'll I get I metered next weekend. I just finished uploaded the new vid to YouTube check it out lol this exploder is about to explode if I keep up with this lol.
  7. Well I haven't been on in a while and I needed to update this thread. I upgraded the amp to a BRZ2400.1 and is way more power than the crunch amp. The Crunch amp burnt up a few weeks back and I needed to get a new one ASAP lol. I'll post up pics tomorrow and my new vid on YouTube later since my laptop died three nights ago. My YouTube account is slrr123.
  8. yeah it was alot cleaner than running individual wires to the studs lol but it does seem to be louder.
  9. lol its a blow through horn I designed it myself and has favored very well with these subs. With the subs moving barely around an inch I'm pulling hair tricks and vibrating everything around me lol. I did a demo earlier and my bro could hear me clear on the other side of the Tanger parking lot roughly 1/2 a mile. So I'm pleased on how it does performance wise just need the SAZ-2500 to play it longer than 20 secs at a time
  10. They are wire distributing blocks for the 8awg wire from all the subs going to 4awg wire to the amp. I did like what twisted did to those Btl N2 subs in that van. I've had these laying around for several years and could never find a reason to use them so I give twistedchil420 props for the idea on the sub wiring.
