I was thinking about it over night and you guys made some pretty damn good points. I'll be scrapping my original plan and either going with 2 8" per door or 3-4 6.5" per door. I left this information out but I already have 4 6.5" 4ohms and 1 8" 8ohms. I'll just have to decide which setup I want
-
That'll leave me 1 channel free because 2 tweeters will be go on one channel. Is everyone still against putting 8"s on that empty channel?
-
Amp wise: didn't want to spend money on one yet. And speakers: even though Mickie Mouse would be cool (lol). I thought it would be well balanced, but apparently I'm wrong
-
damn it... I need to rethink this. Can I run the 2 8" on 1 channel, 4 6.5" on 2 channels, and tweeters on another channel? I really didn't want to buy another amp, at least yet. and I would like to run and 8 and 2 6.5" per door but if it comes down to it, I'll scrap that idea
-
definitely my fault, wasn't thinking when I hit the key.
-
yeah, I wanted to run 2 6.5 and 8 on 1 channel. If you don't mind, what's the reason on you to advise against it?
-
Is it okay to run the (2) 4ohm 6.5" in series, which drops the load to 8ohms, and than parallel it with the 8ohm 8" to bring the load back to 4ohms? If so, how loud and safe will this be?
-
Not too too serious about SQ, just enough haha. But I'm trying to get my mids up to balance out the amount of bass I have, so I needed it louder but without forcing my amp to work too hard that was pretty informative, thanks for the link!

My apologies, I'm editing it in the original post

What's up everyone? I'm working on fiberglassing my doors and I want to run Sundowns: (1) 8", (2) 6.5", & (1) tweeter per door on a Sundown 100.4 I'm stuck between running these parallel: all 8 ohm speakers at 2.66ohms all 4 ohm speakers at 1.33ohms 8ohm 8" & 4ohm 6.5" 1.60ohms I'm running active, so tweeter wouldn't matter. So if someone can tell me the benefits and downfalls of running the above options, that'll be great.

still looking for 2-4 6.5" and 1 more 8"

I think this topic is the best to ask my question in, instead of starting my own. I'm having the same problem as OP so how much hardener is enough for 80-90 degrees, not to humid weather? I did about 6-7 drops as I read in another thread but still hasn't fully harden, still tacky

If anyone is selling some Neopros, I'll be interested. I'm looking for Sundown: (2) Neopro 8" (2-4) Neopro 6.5"
