  1. Don't get me wrong i've heard lvl 3's. I've owned a pair of lvl 4 12's and I still own the RF power HX2 10's. I do like the HX2's over the lvl 3's for sound quality, but the lvl 3's hit hard as hell. The lvl 4's are on a completely different level compared to the hx2's. You cant compare 10+ year old sub woofers with the new spl woofers such as lvl 4's. The "nut hugger" comment is amusing to me because if you like something better than something else that doesn't necessarily mean its better, its just your opinion.
  2. After running errands today and listening to the subs I found that I still like these way to much to sell them. They may not shake the car like the DC subs would but they definitely have better sound quality. Plus I can always just go buy a set of DC lvl 3's for a few hundred dollars from someone off of CACO or CA.com. Edit - Oh and I'm sure that I will get flamed for backing out on him but that is life lol and at least I didn't wait till he showed up to the meeting spot lol
  3. Honestly just for sound purposes i would run the 4 6x9's over the 2 8's. And instead of the 6x9's i would run a few 6.5 component sets so you can set the tweeters up better for sq. Leave the bass to the subwoofers bro
  4. And just so you guys know, you can see the voice coil in the pics on the craigslist link.
  5. If they were 12's or 15's i would keep them and run them. I have an over abundance of 10 inch woofer for some reason and its getting old lmao
  6. Most people who run their mouths like that on youtube are the ones that have boss or pyle stuff and think its better than every other person's stuff because of the way over rated max number on the box and the website the woofer comes from.
  7. I was running them in a SQ set-up. I know what they can do I worked at a rockford dealer when these came out. If i just wanted loud noises i would have left my DD 3510's in there. doesnt really matter if there less than half rms but if they were clipped for the 10 years they have been out then your not getting any gain what so ever stick with dc great sub and pretty strong They were not clipped and have not been run for 10 years.
  8. You are comparing apples to oranges if you're comparing RF P1's to any DC sub. You can pick up almost new P1's for $50 a piece. You cant touch DC subs for that. DC has 3inch voice coils and the power ratings are crazy different. P1's are 2 inch voice coils and rated at 150 rms and 300 peak. Even DC's lowest level sub has a 2.5in voice coil and an underrated 300rms rating.
  9. You were like 8 years old when these rockfords came out lol old school rockford smashes new school rockford to pieces until you get into the T2 power range of the new stuff.
  10. Alright here is the deal. These are my subs. I bought them in 2003 when I worked at a rockford dealer in Lawrence, Kansas. The subs had never seen power until the beginning of last year. The only reason I ran them is I wanted to do an SQ set-up. The Subs are being ran on a Lightning Audio LA-3000MD at two OHMs which puts it at under 1000 watts total rms. The box was built by James at the Digital Designs Dealer in Concordia, Mo and it was given to me for free when i bought my DD 3510's from him.
