Don't deaden yet. I lost a few tenths after deadening my hatch. My hatch like to rattle. If anyone even touches it, I lose .5. What frequency did you peak at? I personally think you would see an upgrade moving to a box that closer to 6 cu ft. tuned around 34. But still be musically. Post up some pics of your box and install so we could help better. But yes, I agree. Start with the box.

Ok. Let's see.....you got the right idea. Not sure if you said it or not, but if have the actual meter, you can test one thing at a time. But if you don't. That's ok. If you don't mind an ugly box....With the box you posted above, I would first try and cut those holes nicer and sand the inside and outside of the circle. Basically make it as rounded over as possible. Then work on the port. Sand, sand, sand. Round over the port on the inside, no sharp edges. Then outside of the port. Round the outside edges, making a kind of flare. I gained more doing this rather than using pvc, as seen in the spl gains thread on here. But that did gain me a few tenths though and look prettier with duct tape. But anyways. How is the speaker wires ran through the box? Use bolts, just don't use those terminal things, never had much luck with them. Or just do a smal hole and run the wires through it and caulk it. And I would run another metal thread between the subs. Then, box placement, I gained a whole db in my suv doing sub and port up. So if you can move that box, turn it over, subs up, port firing up on the driver side. Good luck!

Hello guys! Been in the car audio game for a handful of years. I'm usually on caco, ca or csco. I have had a account on here but have never posted. Figured i'd branch out a little and post up my thread on here to help give ideas and get more. My goal this year is to win the meca street 2 world championship with a single 15. With being in street 2, I only can have 3k on tap. Here's my thread from caco. But to give you the run down. Started competeing last year, hit a 145.2 in my first comp. Switched from kinetik batts to xs power and deadened the roof, next show, 143.3....been struggling to get it back to that 145 mark. But so far, my highest score....official score;) is 146.7 single massive dmx 15 @.25 ohms on a aq 2200d. Enjoy.
