  1. now is there a difference in loudness between the three? i saw your video you put on youtube and that sounded great!
  2. i just wanted to say that these subs are just awesome! i installed two of them in my car two days ago and so far, damn. they are just begging for more power lemme tell you. i def need to save up to buy a much bigger and better amp for them. and to top it off, excellent customer service from kevin. its just to bad skar doesnt have the zvx series in 10's. i will be back to buy more from them. im in need of new door speakers.
  3. i had the same problem not to long ago. i had a strand or 2 of my power grounding out on my amp causing it to go into protect after vol 5 or 6
  4. you should do the 1/0g. even if you dont, that amp takes 4g. DD2518(less than $500) or 3518(more than $500) and DDM1c
  5. i have a 2004 cavalier 5 speed. never had any problems til today. took off from a light, went through 1st and 2nd. put it in 3rd, revved high. its stuck in 5th. WTF???? cant get it in any gear at all. clutch works just fine. it still takes off from a stop but in 5th so u can walk faster than what the car can. i called a buddy up and he told me to check the fluid next to the brake fluid. i dont remember what its called. i checked it. just about empty. he told me 2 put dot 3 brake fluid in it and get in the car and start pumpn the clutch to get the fluid through the system. tryn to get it out of gear. he had a old truck do the same thing and that worked for him. didnt work. i asked how it could lose fluid like that and he said they can do that over time or the slave cylinder can have a leak. i dont know. can anyone help me with this or am i gonna have to get it to a shop???? if you guys need to know anything ask away. no i didnt take off or shift through the gears hard.
  6. just so i know for sure. whats the green wire for? do i take it out and not worry about it after upgrading the wiring? im not upgrading the wire that goes to the fuse box and starter
  7. what do you recommend nathan? can i put the old battery back in and add the 925 to it? will that help anything or hurt it?
  8. bullshit it doesn't move, try slamming on your breaks on the highway and see if it doesn't move...friction is not enough, especially if you get into an accident, figure a sheet of MDF at 75lbs, thats a box right there, add in a pair of decent 12s, 20lbs each, thats now a 115lb weight waiting to be thrown when your car goes from moving to stopped in a fraction of a second. Yeah. I have a lightweight setup, but going 35 to 0 in less than 2 seconds, the box actually snapped the bolts holding my rear deck to the seats and got stuck between. I had to kick it out. Both box and trunk are carpeted =/ well i dont drive crazy. my box is as close as i can get it towards the cabin and accelerating hard doesnt move it at all. ive put the brakes on hard once cuz of some stupid person pulling out and stopping in front of a gas station. tires squealed and all. box didnt move
  9. i just put the big 2 in yesterday. i did the grounds. as of right now, i cant get to my alt and dont have the money to have a shop do it
  10. so i just put my used D925 in today i got from a buddy. always kept on the charger. it was fully charged when i put it in. i went out and tested it tonight. car running no music voltage sits at about 14.3. full tilt, it can drop to 12.5-12.9 depending on the hz in the song. the battery i had in b4, sat at 14.3 also. full tilt, about the same as the 925.12.5-12.9. car not running no music. the old battery jumped from 11.8-12.3. i dont know why it did that. maybe cuz the battery was corroded a little and when i took it out, i noticed a little liquid on the outside of it where the post would go. with the 925, car not running no music, it sits at 12.5-12.6. only after a minute. when i shut the car off, it reads 13.0 as soon as i turn the key on. now heres the thing...on the old battery, i could play full tilt car NOT running, with the voltage dropping to 10.9 at most is what ive seen(only a couple mins at most like that) but then the voltage climbs right back up to the 11.8-12.3. now with the 925, i play full tilt for a minute without that much voltage drop. then after it starts dropping, it really drops. after not even a minute, depending on the hz in the song like b4, it dropped to under 10 volts and the amp goes into protect til the volts rise again. but the volts dont come back up like the old battery. after i dropped it that low it stayed at 11.1 volts (about) until i started the car and it put it back up at 14+ til i shut it off again. back and forth with that. turn the car off after that it sits at the 12+ til i play for a minute. is this normal with a 925? it almost seems like my old battery is better. the voltage never dropped below 10.8-9 like i said b4 no matter what hz in the song and how loud. ive played full tilt for 4 minutes on the old battery and it still never dropped like that. is it cuz its used? like i said, it has always been on a charger when it wasnt being used b4. if it matters, my oem alt is a 105 amp alt. also i have a audiopipe 1500 mini for my subs amp and a power acustik 2 channel for my speakers
