  1. I did some modifications and I will be able to get 49.5 width and I also can make the box deeper if that would help.
  2. Joe, Quick question if I was to change the width from 51 to 48.5 and change depth from 22 to 22.625 and the volume is almost identical would the port need to change in depth?
  3. Hey Joe X, I was wondering if it would be possible for you to give me a screen shot of Torres with the numbers you have gave me. The only reason I ask is I really would like to be able to utilize this program and I just cant get the numbers to match. Any help for this newbie would be awesome.
  4. Anyone got any numbers on how loud the the XFL-15 on 2K would be, Just curious?
  5. Joe thanks for the heads up on the subsonic filter setting. I will be ordering some MDF next week and let my CNC do all the hard work, While I get all the fun of building the box. Thanks again Joe for the box design.
  6. Thanks Joe X, I was hoping you would chime in and give your word of advice. you design a very good and pleasing to the eye box, Which is also important. The Hifonic amp is just to get the build up and running. I plan to upgrade to a higher end amp in the future, I didn't know the XFL would handle more than the recommended 1K rms. In the future would this box be able to handle 3.5k? Would I need bracing? and or resin inside the box. I've been out of the loop way to long and all information is great. Again Joe X thanks for the box design , which I'm surly going to give it a try.
  7. I have a 2007 Avalanche and working with box dimension of 20.75 H x 51 W x 24.5 D all 1.5 MDF. Subs firing forward and port forward, Will take place of the mid gate. I will be using 2 American Bass XFL-15 and a Hifonics ZRX2000 Amp. I was also thinking that 35-36 Hz. would be a good range? I have been playing with Torres and not sure if the boxes I have been designing are worth a crap. I'm interested in a 2 common port if it will work. Any suggestions or ideas would be greatly appreciated.
  8. Awesome vid. Looks like all you need is a stripper pole and you would be set, could second as a brace?
  9. I'll be giving them 1K each, Wish I would have got a better and bigger amp. Oh well I'll save my penny's and buy and get something else.
  10. I'm thinking 3.5 is a good number to start with. Like they say test and make your adjustments. I know the Xfl are rated at 1K rms, how did the subs like 2K?
  11. Thanks for the response. I have been using Torres's to design a box and was using 3.6 cubes.
  12. New to the forum and made a mistake. I got a Hifonics ZRX 2000; hopefully this amp will get me by for a while. I listen to a wide range of music, but the majority will be hard rock or metal and rap.
  13. Just bought 2 American Bass XFL 15 and I'm installing a mid gate sub box in a 2007 Avalanche and I can't find any info on box volume. I'm a cabinet owner, have been in the cabinet business for 26 years and have built a lot of boxes for employees and friends; they all sound good, but this box is for me and I want this box to sound and perform as well as they can. Any response would be greatly appreciated.
