  1. my xs d3100 bank been charging on dual alts @15v and doing fine. rest at 12.9 after i turn off truck overnight. when i top them off it rest at 13v 2 years strong!!!!
  2. mixing is fine however they should be near the same life. (dont mix a 10 year agm with a brand new agm)
  3. no prob man i must warn u thought within the first 5 min playing the taramp i blew 3 coil out of 8. the power these amps put out is just amazing i didnt even get the meter them with all 8 coils becaus i wanted to hear it. but with 5 coils wired to a 4.6 ohm load on a 2 ohm version taramp i metered 150.2db on music legal. with b ox rise. on lanzar opti 4k i did 145 sealed . my new speakers will be here monday and ill be back at full power. im attending the show at sundown hq on the 16th if anyone reading this is comming.
  4. i love the amps. so much power at a high ohm its crazy!!!!!!!!!!!!!. no they dont like vibration. just dont mount the amp on the box. u can install them on rubber feet like a msd box if your anal
  5. so my final solution was missinglinkaudio module. i didnt think he suported the round 2 pin alt plugs but he does its just not on the site. send him a email. i installed the module and the alt charges 15 when cold and 14.8 warm. i also got a taramp hd8000 now. i added another d3100 also. now my voltage drops to 13v full tilt which is perfect for taramps
  6. no one blamed the batteries. i do have a big alt. the issue is on all 05+truck the alternator output is pcm controlled. i have no issue with voltage droping in the 13 or even high 12 range its 11 i didnt want to see which i fixed dropping to 11 by using tow mode
  7. nathan i do have a agm charger i top them off about 3 times a week.. when i take them off the charger the voltage stays around 13v
  8. just a update i put the caddy in tow mode an got 14.4-.6 volts. then full tilt it was at 13.2-13.6. i am still going to do another run of + and - and 2 more d3100`s as i plan on strapping another opti 4001d soon

  10. figured alt was the reason.someone told me keep the alt i got and get a new high amp alt with 4 pins wire 12v to alt to turn it on and separate the alts. one for just system and rear batts and the other for front batt and suv
  11. this could just be the result of having a 05 escalade suv that the alt is controlled by pcm. but i have a d3100 in rear optima redtop up front and a 250 amp alt. the wiring is a run of knu concepz 0 guage +run to rear batt and run of 0 guage - to rear bat ground then rear batt grounded to frame under truck.big 3 done also. im running a lanzar opti 4001d,(4000rms) a soundstream 4.680 (680rms on 10 highs speaker) and a qpower 300rms on 6 tweeters. when the alt decide to run at 14v voltage drops to 12.6 and up on heavy bass notes. when the alt go into that economy mode bs running 13v it drops to 11.2v on bass notes. my question is for the electrical i have (especially d3100 rated for 4000-5000 watt systems) do you guys think something is wrong or do i need more batts. i am very happy with the system as it sound crystal clear and hits really hard pushing 149db on tl on music. im just concerned about starving the amp.
