Since then I have put an sealed enclosure in my car and a ported (9 cubes) enclosure in his car and now I am attempting my first custom build for my Z. This is my son, This is me, I was letting him know how I felt about his opinion of how old I am. This is my Z, Zoe (yes SHE has a name, I also have Milli but that is for later) This is the her first enclosure, 1.6 cubes, two shallow 10s from MB Quart 400 RMS each It sat in the tray right behind the seats and I could take the T Tops off and fit them underneath the enclosure. I won't be able to do that anymore, ah well. I have decided that I am going to use the entire hatch area and install two DC level IV 15s. My son gave them to me at a very good price (he upgraded to the XL version with level V voice coils). So, on to the custom install. It is day one and I took the back end apart to determine what I am working with. The existing rear speakers, notice how the 6.5 cone is up against the molding and cannot move, classic. Oh yes, the wonderful Bose enclosure for the 2-way 6.5 speaker. I call it an enclosure because it is a box that is ported, a little 1" diameter, 6" long round port. The hatch area undone, Zoe is not happy. And here is my temporary setup to play the front components until the system is complete More to come tomorrow. Gibbs Posted June 25, 2009 Report Share Posted June 25, 2009 hmm. looking forward to seeing this build. poor zoe is really not gonna be happy when you start beating the hell out of the hatch with those lvl4s lol. Check out my build and the band Like We Always Do! Once you start you can never stop. Bass addiction is serious. And there is no 12 step program for it. Subs are like titties, They need to come in pairs because ones and threes are just wrong, and larger amounts will always draw a crowd, we all have our favorite sizes, but the bigger ones are more fun to watch move.
