New LiFePO4 battery
Jhunt94 replied to Jhunt94's topic in XS Power Batteries / Chargers! (and other stuff too)
I saw one time where a guy donated one of his testicles to a university in exchange for a Nissan 370z. Looks like I'm going to have to do the same for a XS Lithium battery haha -

I saw it on Facebook, and was like "Well better start looking for places to sell a kidney" haha -
Anybody know anything about these yet? Saw this on Facebook/Instagram. Wondering if anyone knows a price or the dimensions of it.

Jhunt94 replied to Jhunt94's topic in MechMan Alternators and 12v Accessories
Yeah, ahh well thanks for the help. So when do you need one? runniing 16, 18 volt...EDIT- buuuuuuut.. you still need the bank... to take it.. If your seeing low voltage when you "lean on it"..... turning a knob up... wont do anything... UNLESS you have the capabiitly, and the bank....... just rolling the knob up to 15v... wont do anythying when your asking for amperage understand? I do now..thanks for thelp! -

Voltage regulation questions

Iim not needing to charge any better, because it charges fine right now. It's more of just an OCD thing, I just like seeing it sitting at around 14.3 consistently on start up. But is there a problem if when it's really hot after multiple startups, it's falling that low? And the 13.1 is only around idle, it'll bump back up to 13.4 -

I understand that, it's just that it gets on my nerves that in the summer that I can start out at 14.3 and then after having to stop and crank it again several times it'll fall down around 13.4, 13.1 if it's really hot. I just want to be able to put in on a voltage and it stay there. -

The alternator in your truck is a PCM controlled alternator, and any alternator not plugged into the PCM will at minimum turn on a dash light. I believe that there might be a tuner or two that are available that can turn the light off.Hope this helps. Chris well I don't really care about the dash light coming on. So does that mean I can't get a module that will change it? We have not done full in depth research of all the possible symptoms. Feed back that we have had is just the dash light. Different firmware versions could cause different issues, so I can not say 100%.Sorry man. Chris Sorry, I guess I should've been more clear. When I was referring to a module, I wasn't referring to one that would fix the problem. I was asking if since that was the only problem, could I still get the the vcm and run it on the vehicle. Or maybe I misunderstood your reply. -

I have a 250 amp Mechman alternator on my 07 F-150, and I'm wanting to be able to bump up the output voltage. I was wondering if their external adjustable voltage regulator is my only option, or if there's other products that do the same. Not saying I don't want to buy Mechman's product, I just want to know all of my options.

Can this be done?

Just curious, but why are you wanting the 10's over the 12's? for saving space? -

Why did you buy another 12 if you wanted 2 10's? -
Sa-8s or sa-10a

why not just buy another sa12 to go with it? -
1. Jhunt94 2. I agree 3. 2007 Ford F-150, Rockford Fosgate T1500-1, Rockford Fosgate T400-4, Fi Q 15, Rockford Fosgate Mids and Highs, and electrical upgrades 4. I would promote them by advertising on my truck, online, and I'm my community through the use of decals and I would try to get local audio shops to consider selling NVX products.

just googled some ways to remove it, but it seems every method is either to scrape it off or use an acid. Neither of those would be good for the surround lol I did see some talk about WD-40 and Pine Sol, but I don't know what that would do to the surround.
-
Damn that looks ugly lol I'm guessing there's probably no way to get that off without damaging the surround. Not saying there isn't, but it doesn't look promising.
-
So the surround isn't damaged, there's just something on it?
