  1. After the entire trouble shoot, the problem was the worn out aluminum pulley. The grove on the pulley was getting thin. Even though the alternator come with a two-year warranty the pulley was in a ware and tears case. So thanks to Chris at Mechman Tec support, he only charges me ½ the price of a new aluminum pulley plus the shipping. Now I have installed my stock alternator with Mechman voltage adjustable adapter. I still can set the voltage output of the stock alternator to 15.5v cold and 14.4 when hot. All 3 batteries are still being charge. Now my stock alternator installed back into my 2011 Toyota sienna and it sound super quiet, it sounds like a new car. Before with the high out put alternator my car have a loud winding sound all the time. I will put the Mechman alternator on the side just for the look in my car garage.
  2. Mech Tech (Chris) called me today and he was very helpful! Told me to take a picture of the pulley and email it to him, because the aluminum made pulley might be worn out. And take the alternator to orally auto parts store for a alternator check. I will do it when I have some extra time. Mechman have a really fast tech support service to return my call. Thanks Chris at Mechman tech support. This alternator I have driven about 50,000 miles, 1 year and 6 months. My taxi car mostly sits at one place till it is my turn to be call for a pickup. While I was waiting for a pickup call, the engine is mostly turn off. In my car I have a apple laptop + a mac mini + 32 inches flat screen TV + 16 camera with a DVR + 2 location tracking devices + a small electric AC fan and a small refrigerator for my ice cold drinks for the hot Hawaii climate. To power all those accessories, I use three yellow top optima batteries and a 2000 watts power inverter (true sine wave).
  3. It have been 1 year and 7 month my 2011 toyota sienna mini van with 240 amp mechman alternator finally break down. I call into mechman shop for tech support today and waiting for mech tech to call back. I hope they can take care of me. That alternator really really really takes lots of punishment. Mechman your alternator is the best!!!
  4. It's have been one year after I install mechman alternator in my 2011 toyota sienna mini van. After one year of all those hard long time of driving, mechman alternator still last! I just want to tell you guy out there it have been wonderful to install mechman alternator in my car. Thank you mechman for all the great work. And proud to own a product that was made by you in the U.S.A. !!! Keep up the good work.
  5. I have a 2011 toyota sienna xle mini van for taxi. I got the same problem like you, I just want the voltage up to 14.2 hot just to charge the battery fast. My mistake was upgrading the alternator. Went through ALOT of problem with the high out put alternator, then I just install the mechman adjustable voltage regulator (it a plug and play adapter connect to your stock alternator) and there a screw which you just turn to increase the voltage up. That is the cheapest and easy way to increase the voltage up with your stock alternator.
  6. Today 4/29/2014 I received the adjustable voltage module from the postal office. It was a flat rate package $5 some thing for three days shipping. I sure got it in three days! I install it on my mini van, it work like a charm. I used three yellow top battery, the charging voltage I just set it to 14.1 cold with the head light and AC on. The voltage drop down to 13.8 hot, which it is just what I needed to charge my battery system. Now Mechman REALLY proved his product can do the job that I need. GOOD JOB Mech!! Not only I am a Taxi driver, I do import - export, retail and wholesale myself. So I understand ever body have mouth to feed. Knowing that it is VERY fustrating when doing business with customer having an issue. And with money wise, no one want to benefit from other mistake. So you said that you refund my shipping cost back to my credit card, but please charge me $75 dollars for the Adjustable Voltage Module in which Brian at Mechman told me the cost of it. This way it is fair for both of us when it come to doing business. Once again Thank You for your products and workmanship.
  7. I just read mechman post when I scroll back, this is my first alternator input into 2011 toyota sienna mini van. I use Nation Alternator 260 hp alternator for my other Chevy special order working Box van. All this time I was using only the Denso stock alternator when I bough this car. Nation Alternator last on my Chevy from 2008 and still working! I call mechman and spoke to Brain this morning. He said mechnam give me back my shipping. Now I don't if mechman give me back the $101 he said in the forum or the $68 in which the shipping cost from Hawaii to mechnam for the rite alternator. Brain told me the adjustable voltage modules mechman would send it to me as a trade for the shipping cost in which I spend for. But Brain said that because I post this in the forum, mechman just paid me back for the shipping. I just have to wait for the charge back process. Let see if that will come. He said the adjustable volt modules I have to pay $75 + shipping. That was NOT free stated by mechman. With all this BS from mechman, I just only want my battery charge. THAT IS ALL I NEED!!!!!! I should go with NATION ALTERNATOR. Adams really help me out. He tell me the true!!. In this forum may God be the wittiness between us.
  8. last night my car battery die on me at the traffic light again with my military customer going to the base. This time I am screw because my customer have to sit in my car for 1 hour waiting for me to get a battery jump. This morning I call to mechman and spoke with Brain trying to get help. He told me to buy the adjustable voltage booster module because I need the voltage charge at 13.8 volt for three yellow top battery. I only have one 32 inches TV, a apple mac mini, and a 16 inches laptop, cctv camera system, three internet router for different ip address, three small GPS, two mobile tracking devise and my samsung note 1 cell in my car. Running all of those I used a 5000 watts xentex pure sin wave inverter and backup the AC power with APC power supply. I use a kila watt meter to test how wattage it taking up. At max usage is 1800 watts. So Brain at mechman said he help me by driving to USPS postal to ship it priority mail. Which I spoke to USPS and they said the cheapest and fast priority flat rate from mechman area (TN) to Honolulu Hawaii (HI) cost lest than $10. Shipping time is 3 to 4 working day. So, thank you Brain for driving to the postal office and ship it ASAP. This is the third round. I hope this nightmare would end. God, I am So tired for this month. Three job, a nice wife and a wonderful 21 month baby girl.
  9. I bough a 240a from mechman and paid $101 for the shipping to Honolulu Hawaii. They send to Fedex ground (the cheapest way Fedex got). Every day after a week of order, I keep tracking at fedex. Then two week went by, the fedex guy send it to the wrong house on my block. I have to ask ever house on my block for it. After 1 hour finally found it, feeling really happy that it is not lost. Next day I remove a lot of parts to get to the alternator (this car really have a lot of tight space 3 hours just to remove the stock alternator and 3 hours putting it back). Before I remove the stock alternator I check and compare with mechman alternator. It look almost the same. After I got the stock out, I compare the two alternator again. Noticing the bottom of the alternator is different. So that was the wrong alternator. I call back to mechman spoke to Brain (really helpful staff), email him the picture my my alternator. He told me to send the alternator back for exchange. I used Fedex 3 day shipping cost for $68. They received the alternator in 3 days. But I received the rite alternator in the next two week because they only ship by ground ( the cheapest shipping Fedex got ). I bought the alternator as new, but the pulley is all stretch. I take it to Orelly auto parts store and test it, the alternator and pulley was ok. Feeling happy for the second round getting the rite alternator, removed the stock and install the mechman alternator ( this time it take me 4 hours ) with the big three upgrade of 1/0 guage wire. Install new belt ( test belt slack is only 1/4 inch) test the front and two rear all yellow top battery read 12.9 volt. After all the sweat, start the engine, voltage meter read only 13.2 volt cold and 13.0 volt hot. Used the clamp amp from sears, 128 amp at idle with all the light and ac on. This show mechman alternator is way more worse than my stock alternator. Stock alternator ( DENSO Built ) give out 13.9 volt at cold and 13.5 at hot even with the PCM controlling. I compare the two alternator, and the only different is the mechman pulley is smaller, the pos (+) post is made of steel and bigger than stock. The stock pos made of copper. Bough alternator have 12 diode, twin internal fan, all copper plate. I can see it from the out spaces looking in. But when I call mechman they said it all different. Now mechnam told me to send it back for a test. All this removing and shipping is getting to be a pain. Waste time and shipping cost. My car battery just die on me last night at the traffic light. Now I have to charge the battery every night when I get home from work. Mechman, you screw me up. If any guy in here who can help, please help me. This is not a good business.
