My mechman averages 14.4. It just depends on the car and electrical setup. Please make sure you do the big 3. THANKS

You might only charge at 14.4. You'll never know until you install the alt. Either way 14.4-14.8 you'll still be fine.

^^^Same with me...LOL Actually I've never tested speaker ohm reading ever in my life. Why would I? If no sound I'm calling the ebay, store, whoever ASAP

What he said^^ Also ebay claims department is legit. If all fails with the seller they will handle it. They're big on customer satisfaction.

I found my actual size of my factory belt by going to the auto parts store and then i selected a belt they had in stock that was about 1 inch shorter. This method can only be done by part numbers not make and model. Took about 15minutes of research but I got it right the first time.

What size alt to you have? It will never hurt to get 2 xp3000's but you should be ok with 1

It took about 3 weeks for my order.

I have a smaller pulley on mine but I installed new 1 inch shorter belt, new tensioner, new pulleys, etc still only 14.2 maybe in the early mornings. No belt slip or black residue. After that 14.0 all day even with system not playing and drops to 13.9 when pressing on the gas. Mechman has not got back to me yet left a message. Also mine is not PCM controlled so I should be seeing benefits with this alt. Tested voltage directly from the alt again this morning upon first crank of the day and 14.2. Car has been sitting overnight 10+ hrs and only 14.2.WTF. When I first installed 3 months ago it was 14.4 at start up. Losing volts on a new alt has me confused. Nothing has changed in my system but the lower voltage.

I'm having the same problem with my 240a in my 02 expedition. Finally got fed up and called mechman today they advised me to charge my 2 batts and see. Just took batts off the charger did a test run and no luck. Still only 14.1 max at idle and goes down to 13.9 when give it gas. This is at cold and hot with or without a load. Also same problem with power. Seems to be less powerful after installing alt. Im clueless so I hope you find the answer. Next and final step is going to do a full rewire this weekend. After that alt may be going back for service. Stock alt ran 14.5 all day until system full tilt.
