Hate to bump an old thread but any further thoughts on the comps? I just ordered my set through my local dealer, can't wait to try them out.
I still LOVE mine!!! I am running mine active on a SAX-150.4 and can't ask for nothing more clear! I am running my set in the kick panel Passive cause I do have another set of bullet tweeters on them as well. But you will be more then satisfied with your purchase of them
Awesome! I have a 150x4 that I will be running them active on as well. If you don't mind me asking what are your x-over points?
Lord I would have to see if I can see them! My 2 150's are mounted under my front seat and I have to remove my bench seat to get to them!

How are you liking the Lithium battery? Would you buy it again given the chance? Does the performance match the expectations? I know it was prolly hard to spend that much money on one battery to try it out but what are you thoughts? Equivalent to 5 G3100's ya think? same cost same performance but huge weight/space savings?
or did it blow your expectations? Love it? never go back?
I am thinking of getting one (if i need one) but that's a hefty price tag.
So far I'm in love with it. Now I went with the XS15K in my Wagon and the weight is un-real! 17 pounds! With my single D3100 at full tilt I would see drops into the low 12's since going to the Lithium I haven't seen nothing below 14.1 yet. As of now yes I would buy it again! I'm just curious of what the life cycle of it will be that is the only thing that concerns me about it. I guess time will tell that part!

I did some more testing & Thought I would clamp my amp today just to get a few numbers off of it for a base line. All 14 wired to a single Rockford Fosgate T2500 @1.2ohms, The numbers are 89 AC X 34.3 AC amps= 3061.6watts with around 2.6ohms rise & a 242.2 DC amp draw on the RF amp. I can live with them numbers for now!
DC amp draw on the power feed to the amp

I get excited when I see certain members post, because I love their work.
You are one of those members, I love your stuff.
Keep at it!
Thanks man! I hope to be doing some updates on the Silver Bullet 720 build soon as well. I'm expecing a few things in for it & I sent the whole truck off to have a engine swap done in it. I've been trying to stay busy between the both of them!

Well here is one of the video's floating around of the Wagon. I made this one right after I installed all 14 of them. Sorry my camera kept hitting the rear gate! Was kinda in a hurry so I didn't piss the neighbors off!

Thanks for the feedback !!!
Not a problem! They sound great & look AMAZING! Nice job on these!

I have installed them & LOVE how they sound & fit my build. The 6.5 was a direct drop bolt in in the place of my CT Sounds 6.5. I cut a hole for the flush mount tweeter to fit. I must add that the Tweeters are AMAZING! The fit and the retaining nut on the back side of it is VERY nice! The Bullet tweeter I already had there & is still active although I could of removed it and placed the Sundown Tweeter in the hole I decided to keep it in there!
Had a perfect place to hide the crossover!!!!
Not sure if this video will play. It is on my Face-Book page. I will put it on You-Tube soon if it don't play.

Dang man that sucks. I mean don't get me wrong, octoports are bad ass, but I know what it's like to want to do something to find out it won't work.
I've got another idea to run by the guy that builds my box. I SURE want to stay with the double Kerfed box! It would be more work on him BUT then again that's more money in his pocket! I don't mind paying for what I want! Hope what I'm thinking will work. I'll draw it up this evening & send to him to look over so we can go from there!

So I think I have PEAKED on this build with the 10 X6.5's in the 4th order. Time to try something a little different so to speak. I thnik this little monsters will perform better in a ported box. So if I'm going to try another box I will add more to the mix! I've got 14 of them so why the hell not!!!!! This is a concept build I have came up with for it. Will fit in the same location just more sub's! Now don't get me wrong the 4th did good! 142.2@48Hz sealed on the dash was a fair number for the location of the box and size of my Wagon. But here is the general idea I have. Now I haven't added any braces & I know the port dimensions will change. I'm new to drawing box's so I just threw thos numbers in there.
I don't care how it performs. this is cool no matter what
This port Concept might not go through! The guy that builds my box's has done some research & with a doubled kerfed port like this the width of the box & the required port area I need for the tuning I want will make the port too narrow and cause a LOT of port noise from what I'm being told! With the port being 33" wide it would only be a 2" slot port basicly and cause drag on the air flow & try to act like a sealed box. Soooo we are kicking the idea of one large Octagon Port & 7" Diameter with a 10" Flare. Still kicking the idea around! But it would look something like this!
