Is there a certain way set gains if you use something like spotify? I typically always just use a usb for music, but spoitfy seems like a cool option. Is "full volume" on all phones a similar signal strength? Does anyone have input on this?

oh okay. I'll give that a shot. I currently have a avh-x4700 in there but I never seem to actually use it for its purpose. I feel like a single din and a mount would look better/provide better function. Thanks for the ideas

Does anyone know if the two/three meter case has mounts on it? How should I mount it in a single din slot without it pushing into the dash?

single din dash kit and then put the 3 meter mount in place of pocket instead of attaching the pocket?
The issue is the dash kit for the gs doesn't have a removable pocket/the pocket is not big enough. I was thinking of opening up the hole with a dremel I just can't imagine it would look very clean.

Considering picking up a couple extra meters and using a smd three meter mount. I'm not all that great at fabricating things on the dash. Does anyone know of a possible way to use a double din dash kit with a single din deck that would look clean with the meters as well? Vehicle is a 1999 Lexus GS300? Any input is appreciated.

but if you like android auto shell out a little more and go with the avic-4100nex. Seems like a cool feature. I might still try and sell this 4700 and pick up a 4100 nex.

get the 4800 if you have a newer phone. The 4700 does not support alot of the new androids. I found this out the hard way a month ago..............

I'd say fight fed ex on it. Neither of you are responsible for said sub. You shipped it with intentions for it to arrive, obviously well enough since one got there fine. With enough effort and pressure I think you'll get results out of fed ex.

To me it seems as if someone at fed ex got a free sub............ I've heard of alot of this bs lately. On trac is the worst although many companies are offenders. Alot of the people they are hiring are shady and many packages have arrived opened whether missing contents or not. For the futire follow the advice stated earlier, take alot of pictures/evidence. I had a package from USPS that was "delivered" while I was sitting on my couch. Nobody ever came to the door, the truck didn't even drive down the road (its a dead end, its hard to get down he road unnoticed). Amazon ended up siding with me and shipped me another one.

Now I heard sundown released that they are coming out with a zv5 again next june..... so many decisions. Given I still need everything for the car so the sub is probably the last thing to buy. Still need an alt, cables, hu, batteries etc

I think the zv4 would be a better match for your amp. Actually, is the 3k real power or just a 3k amp? Because there's a huge difference.
Real power. Zapco z-3kd. Hearing a 1db increase just from swapping the sub makes me want a ns3....

Probably going to end up doing one of these two woofers in the lexus. Saying I build a box to sundown specs (2.5 cubes) 40 sq in port area tuned at 32 which would be a better sub if I'm going to give it 3k? I'm not opposed to spending the money on the ns3 I've just heard that you need more than 3k to really get them going. I don't plan on going any bigger than 3k in this car. Would the zv4 handle 3k daily? Would the ns3 perform well off just 3k watts?

my sub level control on my kdc x497 clips at +11 regardless of volume. i read ac voltage and my rca's put out near 4 v at +9.

The XP is specifically made for reserve and should never be used as a starting battery. I don't know how exactly the technology works. But the D series should be used as a starting battery, where as XP should only be used a secondary reserve battery.
That's what i figured. I've just seen alot of people with d batteries in the back. Do you think I should remove the d975 or just add the xp3000 to it?

I've read about alot of people using d3100 as a secondary battery. Would there be any reason to use the d3100 over the xp 3000 as a secondary? Currently using a interstate mt-34r as my starting with a xs d975 as a secondary. I still would like to add some more reserve capacity in the trunk. Everything I'm currenlty running is in my sig.

Let me rephrase. I want to check if the dd1 will distort while using spotify through bluetooth on my 80prs. So voltage shouldn't be an issue, more of finding where it distorts. I'm going to try jhunts method with the rockford track on spotify. So far I've been running my system on my -5db dd1 disc tune and the subs have been fine. I appreicate the input though.
