Fml... This build had been a pita

Anyone have any experience with the older style dc 2k? They known to get really hot on 4 ohms? The bass remote doesn't have the on light lit up. But the clipping light is lit up no matter if rcas are plugged in or not. Or if the amp is turned all way down gain wise. The knob also doesnt do anything. Hooked it up to a really old audiobahn 10 4 ohms after a couple,min amp was super hot. Is that normal?
