  1. Ima bump it for today. If it sells it sells. If it doesn't I'll throw it back in the closet.
  2. I've got a type r for sale. Just buy that and build a box for 2 and it will be louder for sure.
  3. Hey, what's up Dale? It's been a little while. How are the new subs treating you?
  4. Steve is a good friend of mine and I've sat in his van a couple of time. He can do a hair trick from 2 feet away from the door with it hanging wide open. I've had to sit on top of the van when he does burps and it is a pretty undescribable feeling. Kind of like someone trying to shove a windshield up your ass. Just imagine 161.8 db worth of windshield ramming you from behind at 44 hz. It's not too much fun, but someone's gotta keep the roof from ripping off. If anyone ever has a chance to see Steve's van do it because it's like nothing I've ever seen before. It plays music too, it's not just a fart box. He's got 10 speakers in each door. Next year he'll have even more power, so I would expect him to be doing 160's in bassrace with no problems. The best he's done this year is 158's.
  5. Jake's a good guy for sure. I need to come and see you sometime again just to hang out for a little while man. In case you don't know exactly who this is by the screen name it's Zach. Anyway I'm gonna give you a call soon and see if I can come and talk to you and Brandon.
  6. Good luck man. Are you still gonna keep the port firing at your kids head? He'd be better off deaf than listening what you have to tell him. J/k I still wish you would use the whole length of the truck. Then you could have fired the subs and port both up. I still think you'll finally break into the 140's with this design. Your box is actually closer to 8 cubes after port and woofer displacement. I'm sure it will work out just fine. If not, I'll help you rebuild it next time I come to Ohio.
  7. I have a single Alpine Type R 12 for sale. It is a dual 4 ohm model and is a little over 2 years old. It's in good condition and hasn't seen over a 1000 watts on it. I'm open to trades for it so if you got something you wanna get rid of let me know. Make me an offer if you just wanna buy it and we'll go from there. I only deal by paypal. I don't have any direct references here, but I am on ebay with 100% feedback so I'm not gonna rip anyone off. Here are a couple of pics I snapped today. I'm not in a hurry to get rid of this at all so please don't offer a dollar or anything like that. If ya'll got any questions let me know. The sub is pretty straight foward, and most of you know what it's capable of. For those that don't here are the specs on it. 8. I agree that amp probably isn't gonna fail mechanically when he's gonna use it to run some components.
  9. Glad I could help you out! We probably won't be in the same class much longer though. I want to run my 2 12's in the 149.9 class. They're way capable of 139.9 and that's where I probably should run, but I wanna be the first to do 149.9 with 2 12's in competition. I clamped my amp the other day and with my box rise I'm only getting 1900 watts to the pair of subs I have. 1900! If I were actually getting the potential that my amp has to offer I could do over a 150 with one amp on my 2 12's. Also if I were to add an amp per sub and another battery or two I think that I could do a 149.9, so I probably won't see you in my class after this year. It's my plan to have the car ready next year to bassrace in 149.9, but if not I'll more than likely step up to 139.9. I just ran 129.9 this year to avoid breaking my stuff, but I'm sick of not playing it to it's potential. Good luck Harley
  10. That's way too much port area for those subs. The box is right on in size though. Let me work something up real quick and I'll pm it back to you and you can see if you like it.
  11. I would fire 2 up and 2 foward in the design that I'm giving you. You could however fire them all foward and do it that way. Which would you rather have 2 up 2 foward or all 4 foward? Let me know and I'll get you from there.
  12. I wanna have all the subs and ports firing up. Is there any way there is any more width than 32"? It's gonna be hard as hell to get 4 12's in a 32" area. There has to be more than 32" wide in your truck.
  13. Okay give me a few minutes and I'll run some numbers. I'll pm you the box that I come up with. Is there any chance that you would want to use aeroports?
  14. Is this for your truck Harley? Let me know the max dimensions that you have to work with and I'll help you out on a box design. What kind of power are you planning on using for them? I can promise if you build it right you will be able to bassrace in 139.9 without any issues. I would love to help you get your ride louder. Just let me know if you want my help.
  15. I don't think that was booze that they were drinkin. By the way they were acting I'd say that it was acid. Very disturbing.
  16. Reinke said that it was a good amp. He never said that it was better than a Sundown or a Rockford amp. A good majority of the Maxxsonics amps are made in Korea. Have you ever took the time to see where a Sundown amp is made too. You guessed it Korea! I have no idea where Rockford makes their amps nor will I act like I do. Next time you start to down a company learn a little bit about that company and you'll see that they follow the trends of the higher priced well know products too. Pound for pound and dollar for dollar Maxxsonics in general are the best power for their price range. Show me another amp that will last as long and push subs to their limit that isn't way over priced. You can't do it because they are in a class of their own.
  17. Looks like it would have been a good time. Nice pics.
  18. Well, I happen to know a guy at Powermaster that may be able to hook you up with a competitor discount if you tell him your intentions with your vehicle. You would have to let him know your current setup, intentions for competing, past competition history, stuff like that. He may offer to sponsor you and ask you to be on team powermaster. I can't promise anything, but if you want I'll give you an email that you can get at him at and tell him your situation. He may give you a discount and you can go from there. Let me know if you want and I'll pm you the details and information.
  19. That's awesome man. From another fellow Sundown owner I wouldn't give you a crappy brand of equiptment to purchase. I'm also considering getting two SAZ3000D's, but I think that I might be able to do over a 150 with just one at .25 ohms. Either way I'm also going to add another D3100 to my car. Actually that's the next upgrade I have in mind to do before the Db Drag World Finals. I've already got all my points and I'm just waiting for my invite now. I know you will love the D3100's in your ride. What does your electrical consist of? How many runs of 0 guage?
  20. They're gonna take a little bit of time to charge to full capacity. I reccomend using a trickle charge overnight to get them to top off. I've only had my D3100 on a charge once and just with my stock 105 amp alt charging it, it sits at 13.08 volts with the car off. If I let it charge it will sit at 13.56 volts with the car off. If it's just charging off the alt and nothing is playing it sits at 14.6 volts, and if it's been charged with everything off and the car on it will sit at 14.9 volts. If your looking to get a few D3100's at a decent price check out www.summitracing.com they have them at $299 each, but I heard that they were raising their prices on them to $349 each. Either way that's a hell of a battery for the price and also comparred to the price of the competitiors. This is one battery I would follow straight into hell if it asked me to.
  21. I don't even know why people list Kinetiks in the same sentence as Powermasters. I'm sure that all of you are familiar with the lawsuit that Powermaster has against Kinetik? Well long story short Kinetik was talking shit about Powermaster saying that Powermaster was using some of Kinetiks techknology. They attempted to sue Powermaster, and Powermaster countersued saying that Kinetik's batteries didn't do the listed power that they stated. Independent lab studies show that the Kinetik batteries aren't all they're cracked up to be. If you guys haven't knoticed all of the bigger name guys that have run Kinetik are switching to Powermaster. Hell, look what batteries Steve runs in the Tahoe. This shouldn't even be a question, just go with the Powermaster's. You will be happy with them. If you want to buy 70 pounds of battery that doesn't do what it says it will then buy a Kinetik.
  22. If I have the money and the woman will let me I plan on coming to the show.
