  1. So currently I am running 4 Audio Que HDC3 18s D1 coils. My amps are Cadence ZRS C5...since most of you dont know about Cadence lets just say I have two DC 3.5ks.

I used to have my amps strapped and my subs wired to a 2 ohm load...now I have two subs per amp at 1 ohm. I am too chicken shit to try and run the amps strapped .5 (.25 per amp)...but here is what I was thinking. Would it be worth while to rewire the subs to .5 ohm but only run one amp? Do you think that one amp will do more power at .5 then they both are doing currently?

Also I am running a 14v electrical..so given a perfect scenario my amps should be doing about 4k @ 1 ohm.

  2. 2 DD3512s

    1 Hifonics Colossus 3200D

    1 Hifoincs Zues 80.4

    Various mids/highs.

    Optima blue top

    stock alt.

I have not checked his voltage, another one of our friends has been doing most of the work since i live like an hour away. I think they have just been going off the voltage on the Epic160.

On the subs...again I was not the one to do it but I was told they were checked and rewired.

I should see him Sunday since we have a comp..so I will see what I can do. See I thought it was voltage issue as well because sometime..when he turns it down real low and maybe waits a few mins while we check shit out...when he turns it back up...it bumps for a while. The other thing is one time when he brought me the car to check out..I figured maybe a bad amp ground. By the end of the day he was bumpin pretty good...but he didn't get 5 miles before he texted me and said the shit happened again.

I will try what you guys are suggesting..but if anyone else has something to say post it up. Im making a list, lol.

  3. So my boy has an 04 Volvo and has been having an issue that we can not figure out. I will try to keep this short and to the point.

The issue: When listening to the radio his bass will knock pretty good then will cut down a few DBs, its very noticable. If I had to guess it would be like a 48 and drop to like a 40. We dont loose all bass but the output goes down dramatically. The highs are not affected, bass only.

    Troubleshooting that has been done:

Old amps had this problem...replaced the amp...still have the problem

Old HU had this problem...replaced the HU...still have the problem

Bypassed his Epic 160 (RCA directly to the amp)...still have the problem

New RCA from HU to sub amp...still have the problem

Voltage is reading a steady 14v

Pulled subs, checked coils and rewired...still have the problem

Checked amp ground, its a good solid ground. Bolt has no lock tight or any other compound on it prohibiting a good connection. Painted surface has been sanded smoot to bare metal.

Checked ground at the amp...removed it and reinstalled it...its in there tight.

Power is tight at amp, fuse and battery.

We are at a total loss here. He has an Epic 160 and a crossover inline before the sub amp but we have bypassed them both and still have the same issue so I have ruled them out. We swapped the HU for a brand new one that was identical and still no change...same with the sub amp and RCAs. I just have no clue where to start.

Also this problem just started out of the blue, there were no changes to the audio system when it started acting up. It had been installed for a long time before this problem occurred.

Any help would be great..we just need more minds working on this because we are all out of suggestions.

  4. A long time ago I had NBS Jam TE on SNES...I had a FLAWLESSSSSSS season. I lost one game and ripped the game out the console without turning it off or anything and threw the game across the room. Bout 10 mins later I put the game....it was broke <_< I wish I could have just choked a British kid instead, at least I could have still played NBA Jam.

And fuck that kid for being another ignorant punk kid...they all should be choked.

  5. I recently seen a ton of trucks that were built with nothing more than cheap CDX grade plywood....all I can say is for a big multilayer build like a wall...i don't buy[ the hype that MDF or Birch are the only two options. By the time you layer up the cheap stuff your strong enough for anything. ON a small reg box i will still stick to MDF or Birch though.

  6. Why make someone who has done well for them self pay more taxes than someone who has not?

Wanna help bring our economy back....cut imports in half. Raise taxes for companies that outsource more than 50% of there material. Way too many empty buildings and people out of jobs here in America due to outsourcing. How many foreign companies build factories here? NONE. WHY? Because they are not complete retards.

  7. Hello I'm going to buy on 98-00 Town Car and was wondering how much lift I need to have it tucked on 26s with no cut I'm going to be running a 305-30-26 tire and dont want to be crazy high.

Dont count on getting much help from this site. There are a lot of guys here that straight hate on "Donk" style cars. Best bet is to go to a forum that is specifically for lifted cars of this type.

  8. The only problem i see is Door trigger inputs and trunk inputs will be read at 16v when a zone is closed/open

Wouldn't 16.2-16.8 volts be bad for the vehicles electrical system? Consider a step down module or 2.

No its fine, for my truck at least. Look at Mechman, they have several vehicles they run at these voltages with no problems. I don't have any issues until my voltage reaches around 17.3, that only happens on very cold mornings though.

  9. Cadence is very good. I can vouch for that line up of amps. I personally run C5's, C9's and a C2. One of my boys runs a couple C1's. Another runs some C6's and C2's. Only problem I have ever had was my C2 would go into thermal...but thats after a long time of playing my stereo full tilt and the amp wired down to 1.6ohm per channel. I dont know about the C65 but the bigger amps are 18V rated, I think the rest of the line is 16V rated. I think you will be happy but I would run one of those per HDC3 subwoofer.
