  1. I had a 1995 dark green E38 when I was finishing up school. That thing was so much fun. It was an auto sadly but the stock v12 with a decent tune had some balls, it was debadged apart from the bmw badge which meant people had no idea it was packing a 5.4lt V12 which got the 2000kg (4400lbs) sedan tank rolling pretty good.

Ill try to find some pictures on my old externals somewhere, pretty basic mods as I was trying to keep it classy, black wheels, stock air suspension as low as it goes, dark as hell tint, nice headlights/fogs nothing obnoxious.

It had insulated windows which my 18 year old self thought was great fun cause people thought it was bullet proof, I actually had someone try get it with a brick downtown one night because he thought I was messing with his girlfriend which I wasn't. his drunk ass couldn't figure out why it bounced back at him so he tried to punch it, many laughs were had.

I only sold it as it was thirstier than a alcoholic in a monastery and leaving school to study meant I couldn't afford to run it and buy food. I tried alternating weeks, but I couldn't keep that up long!

Google image, but this is pretty much the car, it was nice as fuck! too bad I was in a 'long term' relationship at the time!

    Edit: photo link was bad

Hell yeah the e38s are beautiful I know w couple of guys that traded their m5s for e38s v12 not sure why but they say they are happier with them than the m5s. I think they're crazy lol. You should have defiantly kept it.

When I was shopping around there was a 750 no much more expensive then my e39 butni passed becuse of v12 (cost of maintnace) and i regret it now

Im assuming u running on coilivers? Which ones u got?

I wish my car was a 760 all the time so I can have that v12 since I am straight piped I could only imagine the v12 straight piped lol

I am on coilovers they are bc racing for the price and the ride quality I couldn't be happier with them.

    The hell? Are you static???

Yes sir, I was bagged for like a week about two years ago, nbut I haven't issues since it was a universal kit, and I just had enough and ripped it all out and went static. I love being static this low, blows most people's minds lol.

  2. And hes got an m5.. They look good stock.. I be getting m5 bumper at some point

Pics of said 7 series would be nice ;)

After driving the m5 and driving in it. My love for the e39 went up really nice cars. I think I'd take it over the e60 m5. Just something about that 5.0

If you ever plan on doing a exhaust, start with a muffler delete. It'll almost sound like the m5. The m5 owners brother had a 6 speed 540i and it sounded really good for being a 4.4 anyway

You already saw these pics and liked them back in May of the 7series but I'll repost them here. The 7 is somewhat under construction again but what project far isn't hahaha..

  3. thats correct... so now im not sure about the back .. cause 265 or even 275 would look badass but they may give me an issue when I get lowered..

275 would be nice in the back. 265 in the front might be a problem and if you rock the 275 in the back, 255 in the front might look funny.

Front not wider than 245/35.. Im even considering 235/35..

took a few more pics with new rims on .. One day I love them one day I hate them lol

The style 95s look really good on the e39s when lowered you have a really odd color, If you're wanting to go low you'll def have to keep that stretch if not smaller tire with same stretch.

    I'm running a 255 on a 10" wheel in the front on a 7 series though.

My friend has a e39m5 with 18s on bc coils, I don't think I would go any bigger than 18s my self.

People run 20s on e39 but thats too much imo.. 255 in the front is beast but 7 series has so much bigger frenders..

If you are from the south and love donks sure 20s lol.

But yes the fenders are wider. I'm 295 in the rear with a 12.5" wheel and more tuck than most bagged cars hahah. Here is his e39. He uses it for auto cross
