  1. not if its the positive, and if its for a ground, the floor board isnt the best way to go
  2. i only had a small 4 channel lanzar, but it got stolen and i got a 4 channel hifonics and it had so much more output. but now i have and alpine 5 channel that i like better
  3. what section in lowes.. i cant ever find it at mine
  4. Maybe askin in the maxxonics section on here will yeild a better answer from someone that works on them. The 200watts or so that will be missin wont be that noticable either. i would really like a definite answer on actual hifonics power too, but most ppl say its a little over rated
  5. I wouldnt set it with just a DMM or try to do 1500watts. Its been said by almost everyone that hifonics doesnt do all its rated power. maybe ~1300. but i never tested mine with the right equipment to see if it put out rated power. even if i did i wouldn know if it was clipped or not. But using a DMM along with a clamp meter will better set the power. i found some decent clamp meters on ebay for 25 bucks. the test tones.. it may just have to do with box tuning. music isnt always at peak frequecy. and when they put the music together it my be eq'ed low. not totally sure on that though
  6. I ran a BXi1608d at two ohm before and it ran great, it shouldnt clip unless you have your settings to high
  7. Its all with the efficiency of the internals. all amps are less efficient at lower ohms. so cutting the resistance in half never always assures youll double power. take the saz3000 for instance. its 800 at 4, 1600 at 2, 3000 at 1, but when you go down to .5 its only like 3500(or so ive been told).
  8. I need a better suspension to better accomidated all the added weight in my trunk. I'm looking into coilovers, but idk what to look for in a coilover, or which brands are good. Ill probably have 400lbs added to the trunk once my setup is completed, but i need a better suspension before i can go any further on it. vehicle is a 95 accord. Advice?
  9. Yea battery, to cap, to amp. the battery gives the power reserve to the cap, and the cap gives it to the amp. But it doesnt seem like there is a use for caps when you already have another battery.
  10. Your amps need to be stappable, and you could hook 2 amps to one sub, use a dmm to gain match the amps and put one on each coil. But i would just strap the amps if they are capable of it. Also i think maxxonics has something called a maxxlink, i think it match the outputs of 5 or 6 amps. but im not sure on it.
