  1. LOL what DO you think a body is made of? Unless its a Corvette (Which has a fiberglass body, or a pre 80s car, 99% of all cars have aluminum bodies.

But like I said I would ground to the frame/ sub frame. Then again its not my car to burn to the ground.

go out and take a magnet to it odds are its going to stick sorry but magnet won't still to aluminum

  2. I don't understand the point of upgrading only to upgrade again...if I'm going to do something I'm only going to do it once.

in some case's i understand why people do it like myself and in his case the wire is free at no cost just some time putting it in. if your spending money on the wire on the other hand like you said might as well save little more and do it with 1/0 from the start.

just saying some of us do it cuz thats what we got at the time and its better then nothing :)

  3. ok so my friend scrapped his old car and he had about 15 foot of 5g wire would i be able to run the big 3 on a stock alternator? or do u have to have 1/0 and a aftermarket alt.

you can do it with stock alt but this is you really want biggest wire you can ideal 1/0, i myself only have 2 gauge with stock alt cuz thats biggest wire i could get at the time. but really anything bigger then the stock wire will help. bigger wire just gives better flow, kinda like your graden hose :) smaller hose more pressure you need to get the water thru bigger hose easier it is to get the same amount of water thru.

hope that kind gives you an idea of what it does

yea it made sence, but im kinda using wat i have because i love car audio but i have very little money to work with.

i can understand, thats why i just got some 2gauge welding wire from work. its the wire u got is bigger then your stock wire then it will help. hell i'm sure even if its same size i'm going to guess it will help having to runs instead of 1 since you see everyone running multi runs of 1/0 thats something you would need to double check:) or someone might chime in and let us both know

  4. honestly if you doing this dreamin or for real, first get the box calculator from here, google sketch up or something where you can draw the 3d box and figure out how big box is inside and out with displacement of everything from port to sub/s

to get a good system it takes alot of planning of the box if the box if f'ed up then it don't matter what sub or how many you have it will sound like crap

thats one thing i've learned :)

but you did come to the right place there are many here who can help you and know ALOT about boxes and well everything you need to know about setting up a system you will find someone who knows and is willing to help you out

  6. Sooo me like a dumbass i accidentally poured power steering fluid into my brake resvoir, I wanted to know if its bad and what should I do? I would really appreciate the advice. I didn't pour a whole lot but still. Thanx

if you having pumped the brakes yet its not in your lines :) so what you could do is suck all the fluid out with like a turkey baster or something like that and replace it with new. other then that i think you would have to drain whole system lines and all, i'd just sucks out whats there and replace it with new, that way even if there some still in there its not much. in all my years of working on cars and semi's i never ran into this so not 100% sure if it will be a big problems but. if was me i'd do like i said then just drive careful keeping close eye on how the brakes feel.

  7. I bought my first 4x4, a 97 tahoe. All I've done is upgrade to slightly bigger stock tires, and turn up the tortion keys a bit. I wanna know what the difference is between a body lift, and a suspension lift. What are the pros and cons of each, and is it good to put both on an suv? Where can I find a good lift at for a good price?

ok boiler posted as i was writing lol but hes right. forgot to add if its IFS there are also k frame drops, they lower your k frame so your able to get more list in the front of truck that hase IFS

body lift, lifts the body off the frame. suspension lift, lifts the frame off the axles. all depens what you want to do, and how big you want to go. to much suspension lift can change the pinon angel and the angel of your inner c knuckles, that in time could cause damage.

  8. The Prodigy...... one of the few that i first started listening to back in the day, they are still around and still putting out some good beats.

    ATB,

    Darude,

Dj Tiesto, Plummet, Foggy, man the list goes on and on..... milk inc, so many more i could name

anyways good luck on your techno, house, rave hunt :D

  9. hair trick from what i seen takes some time to figure out since every car/suv/truck is different, big subs will help since they can move more air around, power helps as well, then you got to think about the box and placment of the box and how its ported and way the subs are facing, from what i seen its alot of testing unless you know what your doing. i'm sure everyone on here would love to do hair trick but fact is, its not as easy as just puting big subs and alot of power to them got to think about alot of other things that deal with box, and what car your putting this all in. i'm not expert here but this is how i look at it from all i seen so far

  10. if you have a compresser or someone you know with on... you can do it yourself easy, prolly less then what a shop could do if your looking for cheap paint job and with litte bit og time praticing could be even better then alot of shops. go to summitracing.com but a spray gun with a good tip and they for ALOT of summit paint and clear for pretty cheap and i've honestly seen ALOT of nice paint jobs done with it if you take your time

  11. ok i got to ask since i heard this way more then just once.... don't mix sub sizes.... ok what about like meade where hes running his 4 18's and running 8's in the doors? i mean i don't know for sure here so ya thats why i'm bringing it up. but isn't that like this guy runnning say a 10 in each of his doors? and a 15 in the back? given this is prolly know how its set up but you know what i'm trying to say? cuz well my most recent idea of my own for my jeep was a 10 in each door (4 doors) ( if the doors have enough ft^3 for the 10) or 8's in each door plus having 2 15's in the back where i have JUST enough room for 3ft^3 after port and displacement.

sorry if this is kinda like a thread jack

    Jon
