That stuff looks good. I went with Radaflex welding cable from Cableyard.com. It has a teflon layer between the wire and the outside insulation for better flexibility. The price is very competitive they offered free shipping. Check it out, the stuff ships from Houston.

I think to pay homage to Top Gear Mr Meade should pose for a pic in a similar pose as the Stig is in the Top Gear avatar and have it photo-shopped in the same colors. As to pay homage to Mr Meade, Top Gear should let the Stig drive the Hoe around their test track and see how the Hoe fairs against other super cars.

Is there a voltage or amperage limit on this thingie? Also, are the gains suppose to be set with the speakers hooked up? Thanks. Looking good.

Congrats on the new amp.

Lol! I think it'd be cool if it was 4WD with a solid axle up front. I guess that would be taking the redonkulousness to a new level.

nucking futs man! Must be a rush riding in that thing. I can't imagine trying to drive something like that in traffic. o_o

Congrats on the save. Got to keep those vintage wheels on the road. Those must have been one of the first 26s out if they're discontinued.

Ha, I left the internet on at work on the SMD site.

Sundown 4500D, can you say collectors item. Long live the surf-board amp.

So much for the people's car. I'd cut and splice, then again I'm custom. I don't know about you.
I will never ever ever cut and splice a harness...best way to void a warranty ever. There are ways around it
Bummer, I buy used and pass on the extended warranty crap. I don't waste my time with stuff I can't fix when it breaks. I'm frugal that way.

Looking good so far man. Keeping my eyes on it.

Yay, for Grampa Meade. Congrats dude.

Looks like things slowed down a bit. So how about a little teaser of how this is going to make setting the gains up easier? Is the amount of distortion this thing "hears" adjustable? How is this going to work if my full range amp is rated st .05% THD at 4 ohms and my sub amp is rated at 1.5% THD at 2 ohms? Thanks.

I've got robot ears. Just kidding. The Clip-O-Meter looks sweet. (I was going to all it the Clip-Detector, but this being the internet, someone was bound to get the wrong idea.) I'm down for one when they come out. Is there a limit as to how big of an amp this deal will handle? Will it work on a kicker warhorse at full tilt?

In my quest for big sounds on a little funds I have noticed that it's all in the details. Today we look at 1/0 gauge ring terminals. Two for five bucks isn't going to break the bank, but when you're looking to buy 25 pairs, economies of scale need a second look. So this is what I found:
Now time for some pics.
Some specifics. The eyelet measures 7/16"ID and just under 1" OD. The opening for the wire is at 1/2". The overall length is 2".
Hope this helps, thanks for looking.

No vids just yet, but I'm working on it. Here are some pics of my truck with some skinny tractor style tires on some home-brewed beadlocks. The tires are 6 inches tall and and inch wide. I call this look Florida Mud.

Here are some pics of my Wheely King Monster Truck.
I'm running the stock electronics. I've got a crawler conversion in it.
Most noticeable are the Juggernaut rims and tires. I narrowed the rims by cutting the inner bead mount of the rim, reversed it and slipped it back over the rim shell. This also gave me the clearance needed around the knuckle.
I opted to leave the steering stock for a more scale appearance.
I working on some adapters to mount the wheels.
Let me know what you think.
Where to learn how to drive a manual?

Okay the craiglist ad was a little silly. Capitalize from your situation and make an adventure out of it man. Post an ad on a dating service site. List your attributes and in bold put "Seeks to learn how to drive stick shift." You might not get the prettiest one, but it'll be fun as hell. To break the ice have her tell you about the longest distance call she's ever made. BAM! You learned how to drive stick, made a new friend, and maybe got a little action.
