I bought mine for my prelude off ebay but I know for the prelude they were supposedly un needed for under 2 inches of drop. How low you goin? I had skunk2 coilovers and was slammed. But I bought the ingalls camper kit for around 150 for all 4 corners. I'd look but I'm on my phone.

Basically what everyone else says, you'll get used to it after awhile! But in Minnesota its illegal for shops to even tint under 47% even if you sign the waiver. So I'm gonna have to try and tint my Jeep myself or talk the guy who does tint at the shop to do it on the side! BTW I've had 35 and it looked good but was still able to see in, and on my 300C I had 10 and I loved that, I also live in the country and its not so bad.

That is one of the most bad ass things I've seen. I laughed hard at the delivery car sign getting knocked off for some reason.

I'm running D2's wired at half ohm now on one AQ3500.1, I will be strapping them at 2ohm load when I get another AQ3500.1 so "8600" watts at 14.4. I'm debating on buying a cactus sounds 12k on CACO and wiring to 2 ohm. Thoughts.. buy another AQ and strap the amps, leave my one amp set up and buy 2 more batts and alt, or buy the cactus 12k? Either way I will be buying 2 more batteries and an alternator. I dont like running at .5 ohm either even the my voltage is pretty steady above 1500rpm. It's never seen below 12.4 and the only song that does that is decafs Mi casa su casa. My Grand Cherokee is a 1998 btw

I don't want to bash any company! Although I doubt anyone would listen to a SMD noob! But I figure I will for sure be goin with DC Power or Mechman now. Which was my initial thought, but like I said this guy was telling me his 240 amp alt did 230 or some shit at idle so that caught my eye and figured I'd give them a call. I like the warranty, I like that I can talk to the guy who makes the alts but I hate the thought of paying $700+ for an alt that I would have to make brackets for to fit!

Awesome, Thanks guys. I've talked to mechman and Ohio Gen. I havent talked to DC Power since I sold my last car. The alt guy also told me 4kW is one of loudest stereo's I will hear. I was highly misinformed from a guy I know with this alt. He said he was putting out 220 at idle for a 200amp alt so thats when I decided to call this place, then I got the story from the alt guy and He also said me for any alt over 200 amps will have to have custom mounting. He said everyone "copys" his design. That was when I realized I was wasting time calling him.

Right now I drop it Mid/high 13s if I rev the motor to 1500-1800 rpm at idle Im in the 12s Which is why I'm calling around for an alt. I will be making videos soon and getting it metered so I know the before and after with another amp! How do I figure out impedance rise?

I was just on the phone with an alt company and he tried telling me I'm wasting a lot of money if I buy another AQ3500. He said I wont hear a difference, that only a meter will be able to tell a differnce is this true? I'm using all the equipment in my sig. I now know I will be goin with DC Power's 270XP for my Grand Cherokee.

Thanks, thats what I thought I should do but Im new to strapping the amps. In the past when I've ran multiple amps I've just made the box 2 seperate chambers. My 18s are D2 so I should still be able to work out the 2 ohm load for the amps

So when you run one amp per sub (2 amps, 2 subs) but the subs are in a common chamber is there anything I should be careful of when settings gains, x-overs, etc.? I'm buyin another AQ3500 for my set up after I buy 2 more batts and alt which will be within the next 3 weeks thats why I'm asking. Also what about the gain knobs? How will those work without the amps being strapped? Sorry for thread jack, figured its pointless to make another topic for one question.

I have same jeep and Im at .5 ohm with 4000+ watts with stock alt and 2 batteries in back and like 150ish feet of 0 guage and I dont drop below 13.7 if Im driving at idle I gotta be careful cuz I drop to 12s. But I'm buyin an alt next. I would just buy an alt and extra batt if I were you then u have room to upgrade.

I have subs up port up and love it! I also had sub up port to the side when I had my 15. I didnt think I had space to subs up port back in my jeep so I've never tried it yet. I think you will like it

This guys legit I drove 400 miles for the DC Level 5s and didnt regret it at all. Let me put money down because I wouldnt be there to physically look at them for about a month. Sent him some cash and had great communication. I appreciate it bro! He threw in a couple extra goodies too!

Can you just hook it up to your head unit wires then take the DMM measure voltage at amp(s) and adjust it that way or will it not be very accurate?

I have a 15 inch DC Level 5, and I was showing it to some friends and popped the trunk open and it was making a ticking noise. So i pulled it out of the box and found that it was the "felt" piece above the tinsel leads. Should I try and fix it myself or send it back its about a year old I think. If I fix it my self what glue or epoxy should I use? I'm not a complete newb but I also dont wanna mess shit up. Thanks, Dan
