This is the best advice. Just look around before you buy. You can even find factory certified dealers on e-bay. If you do buy from e-bay make sure that they are certified dealers or you will not be able to get the warranty most manufacturers offer on new HUs. Good luck with the search.

You can get the Alpine 105 at JR.com and Amazon.com for cheaper. Just a little FYI.

Yeah I have been to the site. I have seen stuff that is cheaper. The damplifier pro is like 160 for 36" I think thats what it was but, I have seen other stuff that is less. Theres some stuff called fatmat on ebay that is about half the price for about the same amount of material. I just always wondered If there is a big difference between different brand names.

hahaha thats crazy! I am so glad I didn't have the money to go with what I wanted cause I would be in the same boat. Sound deadening is the next step for sure. Whats a decent brand that is easy on the wallet or, is that something you should spend the extra money on?

I took my subs out for probably the beginning of quite some time today. My truck needs some serious deadening/repairs from having my system in when I should have waited till it could handle it. Till then, I sold my subwoofer amp and bought this. I'm going to get my mids and highs sounding amazing before my subs go back in, I'm tired of no SQ. Thats a bad boy amp. What kind of damage are you talking about? I am new to car audio and I think I messed up buy spending money on amps and sub instead of a solid foundation. The set up I have now is nothing spectacular but I was planning on deadening every thing before I upgrade the subs and amps. Hope that I am not gonna damage anything till I can do that though. Thanks for any advice you can give me.
