  1. dude memphis m3's sound like crap. you need more experience with woofers if you think m3's sound good. doesnt matter what box you put them in. only decent sounding memphis woofer is the flatline.

Memphis doesn't make a Flatline sub. I could be wrong but ARC audio made a "Flatline" sub. The older m3s were alright not the best but alright, and what's wrong with the mojo series not for SQ but but in general those aren't bad subs. For SQ you really cant go wrong with the FI Q. Your better off to save up and spend a little more money on a nice sub then to buy the cheapest sub you can find IMO. Good luck with what ever you buy. :drinks:

  2. Yeah, try some other sites too, like Crutchfield.com, or Newegg.com they sell car audio now, audiosavings.com or even soundsolutionsaudio.com I'd just make sure to look around cuz different sites have different head units at different prices...

This is the best advice. Just look around before you buy. You can even find factory certified dealers on e-bay. If you do buy from e-bay make sure that they are certified dealers or you will not be able to get the warranty most manufacturers offer on new HUs. Good luck with the search.

  3. Second Skin Damplifier Pro is what I would recommend. You can see it all over this site in peoples rides and I've experienced the difference myself in peoples cars after adding it, and it makes a vast difference. There are banners and links all over the place on here to get to their site :)

Yeah I have been to the site. I have seen stuff that is cheaper. The damplifier pro is like 160 for 36" I think thats what it was but, I have seen other stuff that is less. Theres some stuff called fatmat on ebay that is about half the price for about the same amount of material. I just always wondered If there is a big difference between different brand names.

  4. Well, I did absolutely no sound deadening or anything to my truck before putting my two level 3 15"s in. The seal on the back window of my truck has worked itself completely out along the top of the window because of the back of the cab flexing. My dome light broke off, my A/C vents are broken, my dash has cracked, and there are tons of rattles and squeaks that need to be addressed. Sounds like your plans are good :) I just got too excited and paid the price.

hahaha thats crazy! I am so glad I didn't have the money to go with what I wanted cause I would be in the same boat. Sound deadening is the next step for sure. Whats a decent brand that is easy on the wallet or, is that something you should spend the extra money on?

  5. I took my subs out for probably the beginning of quite some time today. My truck needs some serious deadening/repairs from having my system in when I should have waited till it could handle it. Till then, I sold my subwoofer amp and bought this. I'm going to get my mids and highs sounding amazing before my subs go back in, I'm tired of no SQ.

Thats a bad boy amp. What kind of damage are you talking about? I am new to car audio and I think I messed up buy spending money on amps and sub instead of a solid foundation. The set up I have now is nothing spectacular but I was planning on deadening every thing before I upgrade the subs and amps. Hope that I am not gonna damage anything till I can do that though. Thanks for any advice you can give me. :pardon:
