yeah that volume offset was designed so that when you switch sources (fm to ipod or whatever), the volume difference wont be crazy. keep volume offset on 0.

Sundown X series and Zv4's
Kranny replied to Rudemaxxx's topic in Sundown Audio - GREAT Amps/Subs! GREAT Customer Service!
straight from sundowns site. You can think of the Z v.4 as a bigger version of the X series with even more output and power handling potential. Both drivers have a very similar sound. if you're worried about power, go with the zv4 -

you dont need to gain match strapped amps. everything is controlled via the amp that is set as the Master. knob positions dont matter whatsoever for the slave amp. -

not if you strap them.... two soundqubed 1200's strapped will make 2400w at 2 ohms. its easy to do and will work fine in a common chamber box. -
considering that "5500 watt" amp is literally an 1800 watt amp board, you'll be fine at 2 ohms with no upgrades. big 3 is always recommended though. soundstream dropped off in quality over the years. in the 90's and (i think) early 2000's they were awesome. now, meh. look into crescendo amps, or ct sounds, or dc audio, for amplifiers.
