  2. Alright I've decided on my speakers, I'm going to go with the Klipsch RF62 towers for the front, Klipsch RC52 for centre and the Klipsch RS42 for the rear/surround. As for the sub I might go with the Klipsch SW110B or the SW112B but I'm not too sure. After hearing these speakers in person I was amazed with the clarity and the amazing sound range and power! As for the amp im still not sure which one to get, what do you guys reccomend for these speakers??

  3. Thanks for the input! For speakers I was looking at the Klipsch B-20 ($400), Klipsch C-20 ($400), Klipsch S-10 ($430), and for the sub the Infinity PS410 ($500). for the amp I'm looking at Denon AVR-791 ($350), I know it's the the best amp out there but it's a pretty good price!! The total is $2,080 + $270 (tax) = $2350! That's a bit over my budget but I'll be purchasing this stuff from bestbuy Canada in about 2 months so hopefully some of these items will go on sale. For the subwoofer do you guys think I should spend the extra $100 for the Klipsch Synergy 12"? Or should I invest it in a better amp?

  4. Hey guys my options for speakers are klipsch, Mirage, KEF, PSB and whatever you guys recommend, and for the receivers the options are Onkyo, Denon, Harmon Kardon, Yamaha and whatever you guys reccomend. Im looking for a 5.1 setup and my budget it's $2000. Right now my favourites are he klipsch and mirage speakers and Onkyo and denon recievers. Do you guys think these are pretty decent speakers?? If there are better systems for my budget please comment!!! This will be for my new home theatre system with a new sharp 70 inch quattron tv !!

  5. Worst place to take a hit at cause you can't just replace the smashed piece so it could get a bit pricey in repairing it.

BTW how do you know they were drunk and not stoned?

Sadly there are too many stupid people on the road that shouldn't be and this is coming from someone that drove trucks for a living for 10 years.

You can still drive and have control of your self while driving baked .. just saying ;) hahahahahah

driving drunk is a whole differnt story. you got no control of your self when your drunk!

  6. That doesn't make sense. Signal goes to the radio and then to the amp. Swapping out amps shouldn't affect anything.

Yes it makes a lot of sense.

You are using a Class D amp that uses FM modulation. It is just the way it is.

Class D amps do have a tendency to ruin radio reception and all you can do is try and install the amp some where else in the car and see if it helps.

You can try a different amp but I would recommend you call tech support to find out if their amps cause the same problem too or else you will keep having this problem.

EDIT: The reason the little 2 channel amp didn't cause a problem is because it is not designed the same way at all like the ClassD sub amp.

Well that makes a lot of sense!! i installed a higher power amp in my car (class d) and was always wondering why the receptions of some station have dropped. Even in my van i have a class d amp and noticed my reception for some radio stations have dropped! That's crazy!!

  7. I have 2000 Dodge Stratus ES. I tried that method of using diodes to "trick" into producing more voltage, but all it did was reduce my voltage. What have you tried on your Dodge to increase your voltage or did this work for you?

Well I got my diodes but I haven't installed them yet. There's a cable that clips onto the alt with two wires. One wire is white and the other is black. I'm assuming you put the diode on the white wire right? Hopefully, i can gain some voltage, I might even put two diodes because I have 10.
