  1. alright man, I finally got home and got to ordering some more equipment so I picked up the 10 gauge. But where am I running it to and from?
  2. I was considering this myself. Being that I wanted to end up designing and building the show cars like Alpine's Sinister 6 and so on, and that by the time I get out of this school, Ill have a BA in industrial design, I hit up a place near me in jersey; Mobile Technical Training. the absolute only reason I WAS considering going was to get MECP certified being that Ive been doing installs for 5 years and have worked in a CA shop in Philadelphia. But soon as I requested info, they wouldnt stop calling me. Like we're talking 4-5 times a day...but anyway, Id definitely go the route of becoming an apprentice at least. Every CA shop I know of is owned by guys who started out just like me. Just my 2 cents, good luck man.
  3. DEVILS FTMFW!!!....and Im from NY......rangers/islanders just didnt do it for me.......
  4. damn art school has its pros.....the only final I had was english and history was a take home test lol. the rest were projects. finished thurs night round 7...
  5. ay man! you in newburgh? Im from Monroe! Didnt think anyone else in Orange County would be on here. Congrats on the new house man. Those costs are rising like crazy.
  6. roommate got one....we have Wii tournaments on breaks from our work. Mostly Tennis and baseball.....I kick some ass at Wii Tennis. We seriously get pissed at each other too haha. and as for mortal kombat....my other roommate got armageddon cuz I was saying we needed a bloody fighting game to kick each others asses at. Now we got 2 PS2s and a Wii setup on two 17" flat screens.
  7. yeah thats bullshit man. To be honest I think alot of people dont know the first thing about selling there car because they dont know enough about it to let it go at a decent price. This happened to a friend of mine a good 3 times in a row. Didnt get back to him, they didnt know the condition it was in. Just straight up bullshit. I kinda like to look at the lighter side of things and would just say the guy was probably having a bad day or something, but sucks for him cuz hes SOL now. But at the same time, you could say you learned that you wont have the cash on you, or will have others with you next time.
  8. hahaha thats rediculous man. Its vids like these that make me wish I lived on the west coast. but from your quote, the shops around me definitely have to let there equipment do the talking more than the salesman. Alot of them can talk alot, but when it comes to there show cars, they dont got shit on you!
  9. just a heads up, most of my tools are Skil. But I had one of there jig saws (cordless) for a good year but right before I left for school in september it crapped out. Just seized up on me. Doesnt mean it'll happen with all of them, but just sharing an experience.
  10. id def go look at it.....but i would also try to talk him down to 5, or at least 52-53. but only if theres next to nothing wrong with it.
  11. if you say the wire is gettin too hot already, bumping the main power wire up to a bigger gauge would only free up more current correct? I didnt mean to start an argument. I just wanted to know what the problem could be. Ill get home next friday and figure it out. Thanks anyway you guys.
  12. Ive been shopping around for an alt too man. Called up Ohio Gen today and gave me a quote.....lets just say Iraggi is winning by a good amount with me. and ohio only had a 160 amp available for my accord as opposed to Iraggis 200 amp.
  13. replacing a wire thats smaller than a 10 gauge with a 10 gauge will only free up more current. I dont need more current. I need either less current or a higher amp fuse on that line. If it couldnt handle the extra power, the remote door locks and alarm wouldnt work either.
  14. yeah x2 unless they may be banana plug acceptable?...not sure if you can use those with speaker wire tho....
  15. not sure what gauge it is but i know its the same as the 12V constants. probably 12g...its hard to say where its located cuz the cars not in front of me right now.
  16. no its def the wire from the alarm thats fused. its the 5100RS model.... http://www.scytek.net/product_galaxy_combo_5100RS.html the only reason I remembered that it was a 2 amp fuse was because I thought it was strange too.
  17. So I installed my first alarm on my car (Viper 791XV FTMFW!) and it works no problem. I stick to the directions and take extra time checking and re-checking each line with a multimeter to make sure its the right one. Yeah its a little much, but Id rather do it right the first time without having to re-wire. I installed my second alarm on my Ma's rav4 which needed a Immobilizer. wiring went fine, everythings tucked. Works fine, but every month or so, the fuse to the ignition line on the alarm busts, and of course the car wont start. all I did was replace the fuse, thinking a one time thing. But it happened again. I dont want to just put a higher amp fuse in cuz I dont want to fry anything in brain. It came with a 2amp fuse....which I didnt even know they made.....So obviously that wire is gettin too much power at some point. but I cant figure out why it takes a good couple weeks to a month for it to happen. Any ideas?
  18. damnit! would squeezing 2 in be difficult/impossible for a 95 accord too? cuz if I can't, this seriously f**ks with my plans! sorry dont mean to thread jack...
  19. you need..............to take the hard top off and ride around like that!...na jk man, but I do like it. I got a couple friends who are wrangler owners.....all lifted......
  20. from 3 floors up hes lucky hes walkin into the courtroom. I agree he deserved it. eye for an eye, the world would be blind.....
