  1. knukonceptz is the best around i hear. it's about $3.75/foot which is pretty fair for what you get
  2. that's really cheap. ima keep that site in mind. but i noticed it said that the ring terminals were rated only for 125 amps. that doesn't seem like enough, since my amp came with a 300 amp fuse... can anyone expand on this?
  3. so i uploaded it to tinypic. copied the link over. and it wouldn't let me do it. don't know how to save it to a .gif format or what i did wrong
  4. oh yeah a while back we considered going verizon because sprint sucks and verizon was making one hell of an offer. my dad has been with sprint for over 5 years and has 6 phones on his contract. he told sprint about verizon's offers and asked if sprint could make any offers to match the competition and keep him as a customer. they countered with a hefty $1200 penalty for early termination. verizon was even willing to eat $500 of that because they valued our business that much.
  5. i am unfortunately a sprint customer and have been for several years. this last summer i decided to upgrade from a LG Rumor to a Samsung intercept. i am currently on my THIRD Samsung intercept and i continue to have problems with it. the phone is slow as all hell. angry birds takes about 5 minutes to start up and when it finally does load, the gameplay is extremely choppy. the damn thing has to restart every day even for normal use, and forces the close of a lot of applications as well. even the built in music app crashes! the button to turn the screen on and off is the same button that ends calls; so needless to say i've unintentionally hung up on people a few times. the sprint rep told me the phone could do anything the EVO could, it just had a smaller camera and a keyboard. the phone doesn't have swipe texting, it can't do 4G, and its battery life sucks, so i was obviously lied to. the first time i came back to the store for a repair, my phone wasn't operable because it was running so slow it seemed like it had a virus. i was faced with an hour wait while my phone was being "repaired". when i returned i figured out that all they managed in that hour was to do a hard reset, which i could've done myself in 10 minutes. that hard reset solved my problem for about a week. the next visit, i returned with the same problem, and they attempted the same thing. then there was a firmware update for my phone. the new update made the phone a little bit faster, but took away my ability to turn off the screen; so when i put it back into my pocket, it called people because i couldn't disable the screen. i took it back to the store and they seemed to have no knowledge of the firmware update and just tried another hard reset. when i tried to sync back up to my gmail acct in store it didn't work, so they gave me a new one. next, the charger plugin on the phone came loose so i couldn't charge it. i came back to the store yet again and they replaced my phone. i asked if i could get a different phone because this one was causing me so much trouble. without even looking at me the guy replied "no". didn't even try to act concerned. i went back today after making an appt 2 hours earlier because my phone wouldn't charge. it kept saying "charging paused because battery temp is too high/low". when i got there i was informed that it would be two hours minimumfor them to diagnose any problems with my phone. that's diagnose, not fix. they failed to mention this over the phone. i'm not sure what this phone retails at, but i'm pretty sure with the money they've spent on replacing my phone, they could've placed me with the right phone, got a good review from a satisfied customer, and could have continued to receive my patronage.
  6. probably been asked quite a few times, but how do you take a small clip and use it as your avatar? any specific file formats needed? a quick how-to would be great, thanks!
  7. well i'm an employee at best buy and i had it installed by them. wiring could be the problem because the HU is in the center console and does shake a little bit from the bass, so it could be vibrations. i'll take some pics later. as far as my voltage drop goes, i don't have a voltmeter so i couldn't tell you what the voltage drop is exactly, but my headlights dim pretty bad even when driving take a dmm and meter it with the music on then let us know i don't own a dmm. and for the price of one i'd just as soon get a little stinger voltmeter.

  9. so what would be my best options? what if i kept stock battery and a d3400 in the back? i mean at some point, wouldn't it be more effective to just invest in a HO alt and get a smaller batt in the back? i've got a max of 400 i'd like to spend on this whole upgrade i'm really not seeing myself going berserk with this whole deal. i could probably only tolerate half power for just daily listening. the 3400 is only 67 AH (ive been told this number is best to look at) the 1400 is 60 AH so still your gonna have bad voltage drop i cant seem to find the amp hour rating on the site. unless RC somehow stands for or relates to amp hours. what if i never turned the amp up past 3/4 gain?

  11. i'm 18. going to college this fall. work part time for 300 every two weeks. my CAR was meant to be owned by people with grand kids. i'm not doing competitions. i'm not sure i could justify spending 600 bucks on batteries.
  12. as long as it's got the resistor in there so it works on 12 volts you should be able to hook it up to any 12v source. i'd personally recommend going from something like your cigarette lighter, but any 12v source should work
  13. it's more of a daily driver. i listen to it when i'm driving places so it's usually not on full force for more than 30 minutes at a time. but in the event that i do have it on for a couple hours at a time while driving in the city would the d1200 not be substantial for my setup?
  14. hey everyone. I've got a 2001 mercury sable LS premium. it's a 3.0L V6 and it says something like 24 valve DOHC if that helps. basically it's a taurus with a mercury logo on it. i've been trying to find what the stock alternator's output is and i can't seem to find any definitive results. i'm seeing OEM replacements that say they're 110 amps but i don't know if that's a reliable number. so with that being said, i've heard rumors that if you wanna run two batteries, you will need a HO alternator because it puts too much stress on the stock alt. i'm going to be running a zx2500.1 at 2 ohms soon and my HU is already shutting off (i assume it's due to voltage drop) on me when i'm running it at 4 ohms and turn it up a little too much. right now everyting under my hood is stock but i plan on doing the big 3 soon. if i add a second battery it will likely be an xs power d1200 (unless anyone has a better suggestion) and i will run my system on that. so is this rumor true, false, plausible, confirmed or busted?
