  1. HOLY CRAP!!! $116 for an 18" woofer. Damn, that's actually worth the money to test. Anyone had experience with them? From what I'm reading the db rating has to do with efficiency. So that would explain the difference. So is 145db at 20hz possible? I'm not too worried about high SPL I just want it to hurt and have this happen. A decent number is all. "Dude, I heard your shit bumpin' the other day. Whatchu got in there?" "Not much just 2 18's."
  2. So I've decided that I want 18" subs. Can't afford them now but I'm def considering them. My friend argues that they are too sloppy and can't play good bass notes. From the videos I've seen this doesn't seem to be the case, especially if I go for a Transmission Line box. He has 4 15's and they pound but he has them in pre-made boxes. He's not seeing the point of custom made boxes so I say fuck him. Was he right in assuming they are sloppy? I like really low bass. 50hz just seems too high. 40 and lower is where it's at for me. With a set of 18's could I do 145db at 20hz? Vehicle would either be a Wagon or an SUV. Maybe an Eagle Talon. Couldn't imagine that but hey, why not? So what I'm looking for is if there are any drawback's to 18's? They need massive amounts of power? Or is that a myth? Re, Fi or TC Sounds? I'm probably going Fi BTL because of the cost factor. Another quick question. If high-class audio companies subs are so loud why do they have a low db rating? The starter 12" I just bought is rated for 96db, when the Fi 18" is rated for only 86? Any kind of advice, warnings, thumbs-up, anything is welcome, even negative comments. Thanks in advance.
  3. audiofanaticz, Where did you get the third animation down in your signature? Did you make it? If so, where?
  4. Almost sounds like a heart attack get that checked out now.
  5. It's available. So I don't see why he couldn't use it. Commercially available I'm not too sure if it would qualify.
  6. How is it modifying songs? I made it from scratch. The song is equally available to everyone. So nobody has an advantage over the next guy.
  7. No problem. If you ever get into db Drag or Bass Race let me know what frequency you need and I will make a song that hops around that frequency for a high score.
  8. http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/ind...showtopic=14227 Look towards the bottom. There is a post I made a post of what songs have what frequency's. Stay with he song's that have ~35-38hz and higher.
  9. Dylan I have FL 5 how do you import audio? I have acapella's for rap songs and want to put them over my beats on the other forum.
  10. Ain't got a job. Dropped all your cash on an Amp, Sub, Wiring kit and MP4 player only to realize your broke ass doesn't have a car or a Head Unit. FUCK THAT!
  11. Ok, serkan1984 I'll do my best to explain it. Launch Audacity. Go to File--->Open. This will take you to a window. Find where you keep your music and select Slammin Cadillac Doors. It will import the file. Now with your mouse highlight the whole song. Now go up to Effect----> Change Speed Pick a negative number no lower than 25% for best results. I use -17. To chop is a whole other bag of walnuts.(WTF Did I Just say there?) It takes a few minutes to explain. I'll try. Highlight the part of the song you want to chop. Now highlight only half of what you first highlighted. Now in the upper right hand corner there is a button that looks like two pieces of paper over each other, that is the copy button. Click Copy. Now press the left arrow key and next to the copy button there is a button that looks like a piece of paper over a clipboard, that is the past button. Click that. I will try to do a text Example of what just happened. ThThis SenSentence Is ChoChopped.
  12. File--> Export as MP3 it will take you to the place you need the plug-in from. You don't need to hit the record button for anything besides adding your voice to a track. Future MC's you are welcome. Don't forget about the tone generator in the Generate section. You can also Import tracks ontop of the one you are currently working on. I did a remixed version of Yung Joc it's going down over Lil' Jon's Roll call beat.
  13. Seconded on the Travis Barker remix. Almost makes the song worth listening too.
  14. If you have the original you can use this free program to chop and screw it yourself. http://audacity.sourceforge.net/ I personally use a 17% speed reduction for mine.
  15. It was posted earlier in the thread.Knockin Down Doorz - Pimp C Just look a little close next time.
  16. Anyone else think it was Ironic that First There is a sign requesting loud things on the video, and two Steve was Playing Knocking Doors down? Also one quick question to Steve. I watched your Tahoe tour video, I noticed your box seems to be about 2-3" above the bottom of the window, do they count you in the wall class because of this reason? A friend of mine had the same problem with his box being 2" above the rear window in his Explorer.
  17. Sounds pretty good. I use Fruity Loops also. I only have FL 5 though. I base all of my beats around rock songs. Rap+Guitar+Bass=DA SHIT! If anyone would like I can post them, have you bang them in your car, and then tell me what you would like done or seen changed on a particular song. Sorry For Hi-Jacking the thread.
