  1. mainly because its my personal preference. and ive never had much experience with anything else. although ive been getting turned on the the dc subs lately. i have a friend akjra07 on here has some in a honda and them suckers pound so they may be my next choice.
  2. yea its looking like to the back is what im gonna do. i thought about it and even past the sound they will be more visible facing up that to the back. ray do you have any box designs for that.
  3. yea you did ricky. im just tryin to get alot of different opinions i know man i understand but im jus sayin i have experience with your truck and ive only ran L7 15s for the last two years and with a AQ2200D (i own one also) they will sound good you said you wanted port in the middle and subs up ill mess with Torres box Calc some more and ill pm you did you have the aq2200d on all for subs or strap 2 together. n his box design so far is the one lookin the best. and ive never built no box like these but i have pretty decent woodworking skills id like to think. n not so much a fan of sealed. the first box i had em in was sealed and this prefab sounds a lil better then it did and its ported but i feel its way to smal for them and not tuned right. i had a single AQ2200D on all 4 and they got pretty loud for only 550 watts a speaker before rise/voltage drop i did a 141 sealed up on music with the single amp and a 148,5 in the kick at 48 hz so i thing one on two L7 15s should bang pretty good i sold the L7s and got some XL 18"s on the way that will go on a DC 5k Im Putting The AQ2200D on some DC 8"s in my tahoe dammit man. that make me feel great. now to get the amp. n go buy wood in next few days to get the box started. keep me updated on what u find with torres. and how or if itll work with the way i want em. but if they will sound better facing the back ill go that route.
  4. i cant wait for mine to get delivered i found a old kicker kx350.2 in my closet and got impatient and hooked it up the them for the meantime.

  7. ok what is sq ???? and im not gonna be doin any comps or anything just everyday beatdown. and i listen to almost all kinds of music.
  8. I never said its the best possibility. Its the best possibility for him. Those L7s get loud but i could never get them in anything i found suited for my taste, and the OP stated he has very litte experience designing and building. Im sure someone with a fair amount of knowledge could build something suitable. Bust as far as the experience hes claiming and my past exp. With L7s id say huge sealed first off i never said i was onto something new. i just opinions from more that one person. i dont decide off what one person says. i appreciate your inputs. but yall are only 2 of 4 people to write any response. n just want to hear more. n if i went seald should i stick at 5cubes each or go for the max of 6.
  9. what did you have them. bout big of a box i could use is 22x23x46
  10. ^^ x2 i had 2 same model subs on 2 1000.1s i wen 4.5 sealed each sub and they loved it. It will hit the lows even seale i promise i wanted to put the zx1000.1 on each one but i didnt have the $850 so spend on em so i went with the aq2200d should be right around same power @ 1ohm.
  11. at least could have said hey ive had this bad experience or they do this or that but thats what i get for gettin on here n askin when i knew i would get no help after 6 diff posts of asking
  12. i dont understand why the fuck you would say contact me for free box design and not give no help other than put it in a seald seperated box. but thanks for nothing anyway
  13. i have 2 dual 4ohm l7 15s and I have the the aq2200d in the mail. has anyone had any experience with this setup and i need a box design with subs facing up and the port to the back and in the center of the box. its goin in a 1999 c2500 suburban. n my max deminsion are 46 in side to side,23 in from seat to back doors and thats leaving me 7-9 inchs breathing room, and 20-24 in height. i want 5 cubes per speaker and tuned around 35 hz wanna get started on box soon thank for any input. also i need a layout sheet not just the calculator with cutsheet specs. this will be my first box build n wanna do it right the first time.
  14. damn you dont need that much electrical for just the 2200 well i plan on putting alot more stuff in the truck n the cap i know does no good i only have it for the digital volt display.im about to order a stinger display to mount in the dash beside my knob.and sell the cap back to the guy who gave it to me. and according to kinetec site it says i should use the hc1400 imma have to put that on my list of things to get.
