  1. 2-3K are you kidding me? Are you talking about a full set of leathers and boots? That's totally unnecessary got daily driving. I'm not saying shorts and flip flops are an option either, but let's not go crazy
  2. Here in AZ I would have to wash a liner once month to keep it from getting ripe smelling. The nicer helmet, the better vented and more comfortable it will be. I'd never put an HJC on my head. They're heavy and uncomfortable, but that's just my preference. Go try some on new at a shop, and see what you like before you buy anything used.
  3. I don't see why you would need that much fusing for a 4 channel amp with the power it's pulling.
  4. That's weird, I could see it maybe getting hot with a 2 ohm load, but not with 4 ohms. Maybe it's just the amps charateristic to run warm. And it's only running 100W RMS, you shouldn't need a monster fuse in the block for it.
  5. im going too asap.. my block came with it and it was all i had and then my amp started getting hot on my mid n highs and def shouldnt b.. so just hoping this will fix this issue.. someone please help me out.. thx How many channels is the amp, and how many speakers do you have hooked to it?
  6. What kind of amp is it? What kind of fuse is in the distribution block(ANL, AGU, MIDI)?
  7. I forgot about Icon, they are legit and affordable. They make nice riding gloves too if I remember correctly.
  8. Street helmets have a clear(or yellow or tinted) visor that can be moved up and down over your eyes. A shield that swivels basically. A motocross helmet, like the one you have is open faced so goggles can be strapped on and fit in that open area.
  9. I HAVE seen guys run off road helmets on the streets though, and since it's Snell and DOT approved, it would be an ok choice. Instead of glasses though, you might wanna look into some goggles.
  10. That's an off road/motocross helmet. If you're riding a street bike, I wouldn't trust wrapping my head in a $100 KBC. you can get an affordable Arai or Shoei helmet and it will be built much better and far more comfortable. If you live in a hot/humid state, you want one with a removable and washable liner too.
  11. ^this causes me to have what I can only assume is a stroke. The grammar and spelling makes me want to punch kittens.
  12. Hey I have a question/suggestion. I know you gas a lot going on that day Steve, but I have an interesting idea if you do it again. You had 3 different subs in three different enclosures. Did you use the distortion detector to set the gains on the Rockford test amp? It would've made a cool little informative video for all the viewers, and ALSO plugged for the product. Just an idea man. And like I said, I know you were probably super busy.
  13. There was a recall on factory equipped remote start trucks of that 04-08 year. They could randomly ignite with the truck off. Some guys truck caught on fire in his garage and I think may have almost or actually burned down his house.
  14. The only recall I've had on my 03 GMC was for the tailgate straps. Same issue though, I guess they had corrosion issues. So if your fatass buddy sat on your tailgate, he could possibly hit the ground WITH the tailgate.
  15. Hey guys, I JUST saw there is a recall for any 97-04 F-150 's that are in cold weather climates. I guess the gas tank straps can corrode from de-icing chemicals and the tank can fall, spark, and possibly ignite. Anyone with a truck like this might check this out.
  16. Agree on the "why WOULDN'T you want lethal force" for home protection. Number one question to get a concealed permit(when AZ still required permits) was,"Are your intentions to hurt or to kill?". Your answer had to be shoot to kill because they didn't want somebody shooting an intruder 15 times to maim.
  17. Agreed on the K40. Wasnt the company actually willing to pay for a speeding ticket if you got caught? This was some years back when I heard this and I'm not sure it was ever totally true.
  18. Also, you seem to be a "kicker or bust" kind of dude. What are you doin messin around with Pioneers?
  19. If you're itching to play with fiberglass, make some kick panels and keep those speaker in front of you. Less speaker wire to run if you decide to run them off of the deck. I've always had distortion issues at louder volumes running speaker off of deck power.
  20. By mugged, I meant trying to overcome all that airflow from the sub. I realize there are four of them, but off of the headunit power I'm not sure how clean they would sound.
  21. Have you put in a good front stage yet that keeps up with that monster?
