  1. i might suggest firing the woofers into the cabin and sealing off the box from the trunk, instead of firing directly into the trunk.

That is the plan. Another member from this forum is gonna help me design a box that should song alot better.

well man i say if ur gonna be goin for louder keep the subs u have now and wait and save up for some real strong subs and amps then jump on in with the big boys thats what im doin just savin and savin and when im finaly ready im goin for mid 50's

Well the SA-8s will be louder than what I have already. I just need to upgrade my mids and highs.

  2. well atleast u got the r/t package on it but man havin to get everything custom made sucks that shit gets real expensive if u plan on doin anything to the motor id suggest goin with an srt-4 drop

Actually the car is a Sebring so it didn't come with the R/T package. I purchased everything on the car. And I do believe that the motor mounts on the SRT4 block are different from those of the Stratus/Sebring. Nothin is simple with this car.

  3. thats a really good idea on the pods man i was thinkin about doin that in the future but wasnt sure how to go about the pre cut out holes but thanks for explainin how u did that and very clean car what all do u have done to the motor

Sadly enough nothin is done to the motor because everything has to be custom made. The only "easy" thing to do to the motor is swap to the SRT4 pistons and such.

  4. the pillers look really good did u make them or r they gauge pods cause if there gauge pods thats a smart way of puttin tweeters in ur car

They are universal gauge pods from Glowshift direct. The openings were too big so I cut a piece of ABS plastic and stuck it in the opening, super glued it from the back, and then bought a thing of "plastic welding" epoxy and went around the lip of the pod opening on the ABS plastic and then filled that lip with filler then cut my 1 3/4" hole of the P1T-S's.

  5. Ok so this is my first time stepping into the ring with the big boys. I'm currently running 2 12" Orion XTRPRO124's off an Elemental Designs NINe.1 amp. I'm running the Orions in series to run the two of them at about 600-700watts a piece.

Here is a couple of videos of my current setup:

Now I am currently working on pods on my A-pillars to hold tweeters instead of hiding them in the dash where they are suppose go.

I'm planning on running a set of Rockford Fosgate P1T-S in those spots. I need to find myself an amp to run my four corners off of and then run my tweeters off the front channels of the HU. I am also looking to sell my Orions and switch over to 2 8" Sundown Audio SA-8s.

  6. If you want trunk space one fifteen or to twelves is goin to take up alot of your trunk I have one fifteen in my 300 and my trunk can now only hold a few groceries or beer that's it I don't know what you like to throw in the trunk but 1 twelve or two 8's would be my suggestion if you need your trunk

I know the SAs are going to take up more space than I currently am. Right now I'm at 3 cu. ft. with my Orions and I know the SA-12s call for 2cu. ft. per sub. Now with that being said does anyone have the RMS ratings on the 12 and the 15? I know that when building boxes you need to factor in how much power you will be running to the sub, and I will probably be over powering them with my eD NINe.1.

  7. To answer some questions, and sorry for not addressing them in the first post.

Budget: I'm looking to use the money from selling my Orions and the box they are in. I don't have a bunch of money to dedicate to this because I am currently working on body mods on the car and am also working on tweeter pods in the A-Pillars of the car. Probably not going to get anymore than $250 out of the Orions and the box together. So that is pretty much the budget. I can pay for the box outta pocket. Just don't want to spend any extra on the equipment.

Space: I would still like to have a trunk. This car is actually a daily driver until winter comes around, so I would like to still be able to use the trunk.

  8. Ok so here's whats up. I've been into audio for a little bit and currently I'm running 2 12" Orion XRTPRO124's off a Elemental Designs NINe.1 Amp running at 1ohm. I was really set on changing over to 2 8" SA-8s, but the refurbs I was interested in are all gone. One of the memebers here, Immutablemoney, said something about running a SA-12 or SA-15. I'm looking to use the money off the sale of my Orions and my box to pay for the sub. Anyone got some suggestion on what would be best? Just looking for opinions.
