  1. We will have a pretty awesome group of both team and non team SKAR guys out at SBN this year. I am very excited for the event and to meet so many more of you guys!

We will be bringing the escalade as it will be debuting in the Skar Audio booth so be sure to stop by! I am sure most of the other SKAR vehicles going will be in the arena side as that is where they are hosting the SPL this year. My rough count from just talking to customers, etc, I would imagine 30ish Skar Vehicles being there.

Awesome, that's definitely a solid group of guys! I'm seriously looking forward to hearing everyone's setups! We're bringing a pretty simple trunk setup, but we love demoing, so we'll definitely be playing it all day.

  2. That's like an hour or so right Cody?

I'm sure it'd get down. I'm just trying to stick to the trunk build, do it right and once, be done till I pick up a Tahoe or suburban

Yeah, I gotcha. I love the simplicity of a nice, clean single 12 setup.

Pair of 12s for me :) More cone area + high power. Everything in the long runs in my sig \/\/\/\/\/

My bad, I missed the x2 in the sig. Looks like quite a nice build! I'm looking forward to hearing some builds with the ZVX's at SBN.

  3. You'll be fine with either a 250 or 300 amp fuse on each power input. As long as your fuses equal or surpass the amp's fuse rating, you're set.

Define surpass the amps fuse rating. Are you saying larger than the amps required fuse rating is ok???
Whoa, sorry, that was a bit of a mistype. I was trying to say that you should try to equal the amp's fuse rating.
    no

Honestly, I need to improve my electrical knowledge. I'm a box guy. I apologize for any misadvice; I'll keep it to myself if I'm not 100% sure.

  5. I've seen JL, Kicker, Atomic, Pioneer, all the other over priced, under powered, crappy, what not. Riding down after work that Friday, got my grunt pass for the weekend, and meeting with the Installers Institute Monday morning before coming back up. Maybe down the road make it onto the team, who knows. I still have the option to throw a wall in the car asap, since its already built but in storage, or keep on with the trunk build I originally intended. Who knows.. Just putting the money away at this point since it won't be done intime for this years show.

Cool, man. What's in the wall you have pre-built? Being 19 and trying to get a fledgling box design and fabrication business off the ground, I definitely don't have a ton of cash to put towards my own build at this point; however, by SBN '14, I plan on being part of the walled community with some ridiculous cone area and lots of power.

  6. Not on the team, and not a dealer. Working on a dedicated build but with a few hiccups it won't be done until late this season, but by golly she'll get done. In an odd car at that. Ha. Hitting SBN up friday night, and not coming back home till Monday. Northeastern Florida resident as well. I don't see too many people on a daily basis that are super into bass. If I do they're stuck on JL or Kicker. And its like meh.

Cody, where at in NE Fl?

Right on! I'll be there only Saturday or Sunday; not sure which day to pick yet. I also find an alarming number of JL/Kicker nuthuggers in Tallahassee. All local shops sell sub-wise is JL, Kicker, and Memphis.

  7. What "true" rms do you figure that I will be getting? With that box, amp, 3 Deka Intimidator 9A34M AGM Battery with a 250A Singer Alt. Or is it to soon to tell?

I think it is to hard to tell, but correct me if I am wrong someone, wouldnt a 250A alt be a little to small for a 4500W amp?

It is hard to tell from just an equipment list. I think a 250A is a little on the smaller side, but he does have a decent battery bank to back it up. Also, I tend to trust Singer's opinion, because he's basically the God of Alternators.

  8. Box rise will definitely come into play, but you're still realistically going to be looking at a good deal over rated power to your ZVX's. They're rather beefy woofers; as long as you set your gain properly to avoid a clipped signal and have an enclosure that's a little on the smaller side to help the subs take the power, you'll be just fine.

  9. Not on the skar team just a fan that will be going , I'm from northeast Florida. I'll be going , Wont have skar subs this year, I will have skar components still.Hope to see you there

Right on, man! I'm not on the team either, as temporary lack of funding as we get the business off the ground keeps me from building something big enough to merit team status. We'll still bringing a SKAR setup, though! 2 VVX 12's in one of our enclosures on 3K. Hope to see you there!

  10. Hey, fellow SKAR guys!

I'm a newly appointed SKAR dealer based in Tallahassee, Florida, and I plan on going to Spring Break Nationals this year. I just wanted to see who else from the SKAR family is going; is there anyone else from the North Florida/South Georgia region going? What kind of vehicles are you guys bringing?

Anyway, I'm looking forward to meeting all the guys on the team at SBN, and I'm definitely looking forward to hearing the Team SKAR vehicles!
