12k amp shipped to 49107
-
sounded amazing, it hit a 147.2db in his blazer with 4 power acoustik mofo 15's on a hifonics bre2500.1d. i bought all his stuff now i'm working on a build in my full size blazer. can't wait to see what you can do!

19h X 38w X 32d port 6t X 36.5w X 20d tuned to 47hz this just squeezes in a s10 blazer, this is a pic of it in my full size blazer

i just helped a buddy build his s10 blazer with 4 15s. thats actually the same box as what i have in my truck. to get correct cubes you will have to go above the window line. i dont know if that matters to you or not. you can stay in a lower class in comps if you stay below the window. are you wanting to do subs up port back? that will give you the best sound for what you have

thanks guys i'm gonna do some research on some agm batts and how big or how many would be good?
-
not a big deal. i guess i'm just taking people the wrong way.
this is one of the first times i've actually got help. besides that it just seems like everyone is trying to get me to do a giant build and do things i could never afford. you have been on most of my posts and your one of the few that have been extremely helpful and i thank you for thatok i see... im just tired of being called an idiot. i have said i'm new to this over and over but everyone still seems to think i should know everything right off the bat. well thats why i'm on here to try and get advice and ask questions about the stuff i dont understand yet. sorry for getting a little shitty i'm just about ready to stop using this forum and find one that people are a little more understanding and friendly. it's like if you dont have a 30,000 watt system your a nobody on here.
no one is calling you an idiot. what the fuck are you talking about? everyone in this thread has been helpful to you.
i looked over every post in this thread and none of them were "dickish". they were all helpful in one way or another.
you have 4 1000w subs. you need to spend good money to get an amp to power them. i dont see how thats a giant build.

no shit i did not know that. thanks for the fyi. is there any decently cheap batteries i could use in the cabin? the reason i got the ones i did was because they where only $45 each new and that's my kinda price! lolAlso, the reason I brought up the batteries was because of this:
Please do NOT run a lead acid battery in the interior of a vehicle. They vent deadly gas and fumes, and are not safe in the cabin of a vehicle. I don't want you dead because of a little toxic gas.

so that means i would be spending $300 for 900 watts more. do you think it would be worth it or a waste of money?amp is 1700 at 2 ohms. so thats 3400 to 4 woofers at 4 ohms strapped.
-
there just some cheap 800cca interstate batteries. want to upgrade them but dont have the cash at a momentAlso, did you mention which batteries you were running?

my bad its a powermaster xs. but ya dont have to try and call someone out on something you dont know about. tired of people being dicks on here. heres a pic for you non believersWhen did XS start making alternators? It's one of the first things he mentioned in the thread earlier...

thanks for explaining it in a way i can understand! and pretty doesnt matter to me i just want it to pull some decent numbers on a low budget systemMore port area, right now you currently have 9-10" or Pa to Cube. Need between 12-16" on average. So pretty much make the dimensions of the port smaller, as its going to mostly free air the subs, but make it longer to gain more Port area per cubic feet.
Spl mainly revolves around three things; how you designed the system, how efficient the system is, and what amount of power you through at it. You need efficiency in order to put the power to use. I.e. a glass like finish inside the box, 45's placed in proper places, sanded corners, blah blah blah. The less effort the sub has to use to move air a higher score will produce.
Pretty isnt always loud.

what if i did subs up, port up down the drivers side?
-
wouldn't it being at 4 ohm drop my numbers?
-
why are you selling the db8000? and i have a bre2500 for trade?
-
then i would have to run at .5 ohm and its my daily driver. dont want to pop an amp. cant afford thatwhy not buy another bre2500? run 2 subs per amp
-
give me something to work for then! i'm ready to go bigger but $ is an issue. whats some cheaper ways to get better numbers out of what i got? if any
-
that would be nice to have head room so i can upgrade subs later on
-
what would be good to save up for then? lol
-
is there anything for around $500 that puts out 5-6k?
-
i have a 250 amp xs alt with 2 extra batteries and 0/1 ran with big 3. voltage drops to 13.2 at full tilt on the bre2500.
-
i already have a hifonics brutus elite bre2500 on themEdit: sorry, didn't read your entire post and now I feel like an idiot. Do you have proper electrical for a beefier amp?
-
after seeing raptormans post i would say 1000 to be safe
