  1. This isn't the first time, but I took advantage of this perk recently and thought I'd share my experience.

I am helping my brother in law (he's 18) with his first system and we needed a few things.

I emailed Tony at the email address in his sig on Saturday to inquire about some product pricing and availability and wasn't expecting a reply until sometime this week. Tony actually responded the same day, and we exchanged a couple of emails over the weekend.

After figuring out exactly what I wanted/needed Tony reminded me that as an SMD forum member I get 10% off of my order which is a huge plus. We ordered some product that required Tony to do more than just toss some things in a bag, he actually had to measure, cut, crimp etc. and he got our order shipped the same day that I made my payment. The product arrived (neatly packaged I must add, and not just shoved together) earlier than I expected and I was very pleased.

His product and workmanship are both second to none that I know of. I recommend CE Auto Electric for all of your 12V electrical needs.

    Thank you Tony!!

  2. Just make sure you have the big 3 done and that all of your terminations are done proper.

    Maybe this will help:

Adding batteries helps reinforce and stabilize your voltage around the 12.6v - 13.2v range depending on a few factors. No amount of batteries will help you above that range. Your alternator is what gives you the high 13's - 14's that you want to see.

If your voltage is dropping below 12.5 ish then you need more alt and battery usually. If you hold high 12's when wanging on it then your battery is doing it's job, but your alt is not enough.

Also, make sure you are using a good voltage meter and not a turd.

  3. A pair of Rockford Fosgate Series 1 12's in an Obcon bandpass box, pushed with a Punch 100. 1994 or so? First time I understood what the fuss was about DJ Magic Mike CD's.

Ha! I remember a period when I thought there was nothing better than an Obcon box. Always wanted one of their bandpass boxes in my trunk, but they were out of my budget lol.

  4. The guys driving by in Blazers, Broncos, and mini trucks. Never knew what they were pushing. I took a single home audio cabinet, had a 12 a mid and a tweeter in it and hooked it up off of deck power in my 93 Nissan Altima (stanza) . First "real" car audio I had was 2 JBL 12's in a pre fab box on a kicker 300 watt amp. I swore it was the loudest system, ever lol. Wish I knew the models of everything.

  5. Just placed an order and I must say that I really really like Tony's website. Super easy to navigate, prices are fair, and everything he has is pretty much second to none when compared to any competitors items. It's rare to find so many best in class products available from one location. I also like that you can read about every item he has for sell, in well put together sentences, and not just a copy and paste from another website.

There is a certain amount of reassurance that comes with buying products from someone who is so knowledgeable about his products. I don't think we talk about CE Auto Electric on here enough, or maybe I just miss the threads when they come up.

Thanks for doing what you do Tony!!
