Its definitely not a phasing issue. I have a 2015 chevy Silverado ltz and ran all my own speaker wire to avoid any in line crossovers and whatever else they add in the bose system. My system is completely independent and ive tried endless amounts of different configurations. I even placed these in my sisters civic with a sq build and they still sounded terrible.
Any recommendations on a new set of speakers that aren't overpriced and insanely underwhelming?
So who wants a b2 3 way and a reference 4 channel amp? " src="https://twemoji.maxcdn.com/2/72x72/1f602.png">" src="https://twemoji.maxcdn.com/2/72x72/1f602.png">" src="https://twemoji.maxcdn.com/2/72x72/1f602.png">

Personally I love dc’s new components they teamed up with hybrid to come out with a great sounding mid for literally half that fucking price
I was gonna say they look like the hybrid imagine set

Gotcha
It could also just be how I judge speakers. Most people think if it sound "clear" it's good. I dont see it as just needs to sound clear

Sounds like a serious phase issue ... Just Saying
I had the same bad sound on the few I did locally. Just couldn't get them sounding good. Ended up swapping them out with a set of PhD FB 3 ways. 1 I swapped out to 2 way mercury and it was awesome. I really think it's the set itself. No matter what I did.

What you didn't tell us is what kind of vehicle this is. Many, and I mean many, late model vehicles have all kinds of challenges facing you in the digital domain that must be undone or normalized before installing new gear - equalization contours designed to make $3 speakers sound like $30 ones, fully active systems with each component having a narrow bandwidth of operation and / or delay, multiple position contours overlaid on top one another, etc. In addition, you could have some impedance mis-matching with your interface which could cause frequency response irregularities, etc.
So, share a bit more.
He has a 2015 silverado. Almost the same stuff I have in my 16 silverado. I worked with him over the phone.

Damn. I've been lusting after a set of the 3-ways also, but you're making me re-think it. I feel your pain that's such a let down!
I remember telling you this in another thread

I can agree. I do installs for local guys. I've had a few guys bring me the 3 way set. Install. Run rta, tune and all that. And it was meh at best.

Sd should be fine then

The sd are ok. I'd personally opt for the sa set

between my bad eyes and my sausage like thumbs with years of labor on them, i can't type for shit on my phone haha! Posting from it isn't always a good idea. *fixed. Rear leaflet kit OTW haha
I was gonna say. When the wife had hers, I never saw anything called a leaflet
I only rode in it once because when I got out after that I literally fractured 2 vertebrae. It was sold shortly after that 😂

Sulastic shackles are awesome. But I have no idea what a leaflet is

Really, it's all about current over distance and how that affects voltage drop. Maybe I should build a calculator for such on our web site . . . hmmm . . .
Please do. It would be much appreciated. Im just a dumb concrete worker and framer and floor installer and plumber. Electrical is not my forte
My unfortunate B2 experience with the ref 4 channel and 3 way component set

I'd rather not. I'd like to avoid forum arguments now. Lately seems my opinion and time with certain products cause people to get mad.
