This is a good 2 sided story with a hell of a lesson here for the OP. Learn now that you always get what you pay in life! And the fear of not wanting to try it on your own has contributed to your problem in your build it sounds like. Youtube vids, holidays inns & trial & error go along way. Its just that kind of hobby were sometimes you got to roll your sleeves up and get dirty.
Now i feel for you that this guy could be screwing you over. IMO it doesnt take but a week or so to do the pillars. I hope he does what he says and finishes them ASAP and ships them back to you.
Life is a learning process, i hope this has helped you in future choices. Know your part in this, you took a high risk chance on a lower cost that isnt working out for you. Ya the guy is a Dbag for having it this long but it started with you.
Good luck.

Like father like son! Great vid and super nice clean system.
-
Entered from FB. Nice give away DC. That would make for a happy holidays!
-
it'll work, but it's not done properly and wouldn't sound as good as if you seal off all access holes in the door and dynamatted the inside and outside of the inner door
I agree with this. Youtube video's for proper installation. If your going to do it, do it right IMO.

Stick around the forum and start reading! Your only going to get so loud with what you have, then you'll have to upgrade amp, subs, batteries, wiring, alt ect.
You have 1 good 12" sub on a low end amp.
-
Well youtube what others have done with that make and model or look in members rides to see what some members have done. If you want to move more air, install a big fan in the back blowing forward! that would be the shit! Ha ha

Or should I run my sa12 that I have now with 2 sa8s? I don't no what to do someone please help
Dont mix sub sizes thats for sure. Whats the problem with the sa12? What are you looking to gain? You need to be a bit more detailed in your questioning! What vehicle? Power your running? music you listen to?
-
I am really surprised you didnt take the doors apart to deaden from edge to edge! lol Seemed to have worked well.
-
What browsier are you using? Internet explorer doesnt work for post from photobucket to hear. I had to use google chrome. Just info that might help. ?

Does AK & HI count or is it only the lower 48?
-
Yes. Plays the same them off or on. That's the whole technology with those air filters. He explained it on his FB.Are those air filters on the ports?
Too funny! Are the K&N Filters? Does he get better performance out of them? lol They look cool.... I guess.

Build turned out real nice. Great father & son bonding time. I was just in CA for a week and really wanted to visit you at your shop but it didnt seem right not having permission to bug you. Your AK Fan.

Looks like the same person to me as well. I am happy for you and your family to get a chance to remember your grandfather in such a honorable & humble way. I much respect for our veterans that have served. Thank you for sharing this story with us Steve. Made my morning.

Serves him right for trying to save a f-ing hat! really, i dont get hat people.
-
Rear deck would be sweet!
-
Have you thought about putting them in the kick panels. They are going bang on your doors pretty good, might cause rattles if you dont make they solid as shit. Depends on power to them to i guess.
-
Hey Steve quick question why do u printout a huge sheet of stickers out rather than just printing out just one?
because if i print just one, that entire section of vinyl on that same row will be wasted anyhow. Might as well use it for something.
Ya i agree... send me the extras! lol Please!

Looking simple sick. I love the black plate with the RF decal for the power and ground distribution blocks. My 23 yrs son and i sat down to go thru this build and he was amazed how great it looked. So you could say we had father, son time watching your father-son build.
