Yes. I noticed last week that their A-series amplifiers (the A1500.2 and A1500.4 that Steve used on his Escalade) are no longer visible on the website. I called late Tuesday to ask about this and have not heard anything; I left a message. My guess is that they are uber busy with limited staff to handle all the questions. When you call, it goes straight to voicemail.
They are still on the site just looked.. so not sure where you looked, also buy button is still there.

I have a ohm meter but nothing else. I would use the cheaper stuff if I could and knew how. You can find this stuff at yard sales and people have these things just laying around. Guess I'll Google how to do this and learn.
Lol 8 year old thread and there is a dd-1 map see if anyone is near you

Yeah he just moved…. Call Steve’s shop monday

Why would you set your amp gain to 100% that’s not how you do it all gains at 0 then go down the line

Sounds like a coil problem or a loose spider. Then again maybe it’s a board of the box rattling you have bracing?

Joe X I appreciate the none help you have me rather then just putting your 2 cents in and be helpful rather then bash me I'd appreciate it an for as the subs go not sure how you figure they are entry level subs when they are rms 1500 and peak 2500 each sub not to mention they are competition spl subs that are better then most subs yo uh can get far as your everyday audio store or what not like in referring to like punch and kicker an jbl or boss and alpine even Kenwood and some of the sundown also being that they are pretty much a better cheaper version of the sundown audio and then size of these subs are not your average subs being they need a mounting depth of 7.75 inch's that's just inside the box so please help me understand your comment and as I already said in the post that the port on my box is junk so not sure why your just commenting and saying the same thing I already said when I'm asking for help and ideas not some ² cents worth of not helpful advice that's for sure and if that's what your wanting to comment then just don't bother please. I'm serious and asking for some professional advice and help if anyone can help I'd appreciate it very much. I'm would really like to get some advice from the actual man around her mr Steve mead himself that would be great not to mention I'd like to speak to him about possible work I'm looking to get done and really want Steve mead design to be the man that builds my stuff I'm wanting done, so Steve mead design is f you read this please get back to me and let's get together and figure out some ideas and talk prices and build time please thank you
First skar is not a better cheaper version of sundown that comment is laughable and all because watts are high and they are heavy and deep doesn’t make them not an entry level sub..
Second Steve does not do other peoples audio installs especially now, he’s a really busy man… he doesn’t really have time to do his own stuff let alone someone else’s..
Give your max dimensions you can use and maybe someone will help you with a box design… list how you set your gains and your xovers and maybe someone can chime in- 1

Old thread warning!!! Anyway, I’ve been looking for a while now, trying to find some old PPI amps that I want to buy. Back in the late 90’s till 2005 I managed and installed at a stereo shop, and we were a PPI dealer which was one of our higher end brands at the time, especially for big amps. When the chrome 15th anniversary PC650 6 channel and big boy 2 channel PC2350 came out, I grabbed one of the 650’s and two of the 2350’s as I had been looking for the perfect amps to replace/upgrade the Rockford amps that had been in my 92 GTI that I took to all the IASCA competitions on the west coast and NW area. It had a Punch 40 running a 5 1/4” component set in a set of custom fiberglass kick panel pods that everyone was running at the time, a Punch 250m “squared” that sent the midbass frequencies to a pair of 8” Punch subs mounted in the also common for the time, fiberglass door pods. Lastly I had two classic Punch 200ix amps running 8 Punch 12” subs that were in a full wall behind the front seats. I had long wanted a lot more power, and originally was going to use the older PPI Art series A606 and 2350, but didn’t get it done. Anyway, those 3 amps along with my old chrome Rockford Power 1000 are some of the old gear that I most wish I still had, and really want to locate another set. I loved those amps, even though they were killers to the electrical system. I later put one 2350 in my new to me 94 Supra in 1997 and the alternator was dead within 3 months
WTF on bringing up this thread and not even relevant to the o.p topic lol.......

I just put the files on my computer then xfer the files to my phone and use the phones media player to do the dd-1 over Bluetooth… also can directly dl the files from the website to your phone and do the same thing. Why do it through Spotify ? Actual question lol
-
Different things can effect impedance rise including things in your car.. think I read box shape also cant remember though… but the isolator can be causing part of the voltage drop… yeah about buying bigger amps I don’t do it at the moment maybe if I ever get a project car again lol
-
Drop the isolator see if that helps voltage drop.. also try a bank of supercaps

Nice Man Keep up the hella nice work

Sub Level on HU should be set to 10
At what DB is the 40hz tone? Should be 0db or 5db.
My buddy tried to DD1 my Wolfram 3K on my AVH2300 a few months ago but was getting major distortion when first trying to find max volume for some reason. Unplugging the ground loop isolator before the amp got rid of it a bit but had to use a -10db 40hz tone and my "feedback" noise back without the isolator. So we scrapped it and reset the gain to how it was. I recently got the 2660 to replace the 2300 since the buttons on that died, interested to see if you can get this working. Don't think I'll be able to try DD1 on my unit anytime soon.
Find the source of the ground loop and you won’t have that problem

Sub sonic all the way down then you adjust that after words

Nice wish I could get back into it... seen 2 dc10k for the price of one I was like ooooohhhh I’m gonna get them... then clicked I have a Mazda3 lol and no money I want to spend on a project car

Hello, first time on this forum. I have DD-1 which showed low battery. Changed the battery and put a new one in twice and still shows low battery. Can this be fixed or there’s nothing to be done? TIA

I was setting the gain with my DD-1 and I accidentally put the red probe on the negative speaker terminal and now it shows distortion no matter what, even before it detects the 40hz signal. Can it be repaired?
Go to D’Amore website email them or Meades shop website email them they can get it repaired
-
Neat .. wonder if parts express have
bigger one watt woofers lol
-
Check the battery leads... other then that I don’t know can always send it in to get overhauled
-
Nice !!! And astro!!!!!!! Time lol
-
for the 3000.1 yes you can use it no on the other one if its just switches ... why you would buy a class d for mids and highs is beyond me and not research the amp before buying it to see if it has variable xover points
