  1. good luck getting that under to bed cap, i would make up a mock up sub with a basket and wood for a magnet for test fittind during construction. so you dont have any surprises when you go to lift the heavy one in there. just easier . im doing the same thing with a 10 for my car. sub is heavy and clearance is slim so why fight a heavy sub over and over while building

  3. i have 30 inches of port per cube lol... it works fine in my application

121 inches of port.. four cubes

that is alot much to much for daily use. with les port you have more "control of the subs" which will improve the longevity. 12-16 per cube sounds about right, a few slot boxes i had were built a little more towards the spl side of life but daily and they were 17 cubes with 200 inches of port. my bow for 6 fifteens has less than that. 30 per cube sounds more like a "burp box" ratio to me.
  4. yeah, that was the fist thing I saw...I'm not sure how credible that is at this point. Impressive...but I could beat it down with some physics, lol but I wont.
simple to explain also with the exhaust/window thing it is all to do with the resonant frequency of an object and producing enough amplitude to get it going so the less dense the object the easier to get a response
  5. my buddys shop will do it for 600 that include your box fiberglassed and installed
im always worried about low low prices do your research and dont just jump at a kikller deal. and just because its at a shop doesent mean the work is good. remmber in most cases you get what you pay for
  6. yeah my local shop wants $600 just for the labor of cutting the hole and putting the boot in... i would still have to pay for the boot
boot is about 120 and a few hours work maybe more depending on the cab...but depending on the extent of the box i could see mysels charging someone else 1500-2k to do a blowthrough. anyone want to buy a box already made ill sell for $500 :zorro:
