  1. So my amp works when i first turn on the radio at low volume then when i turn the volume up the amp goes into protect mode but if i turn the head unit off and back on again then the amp will once again work at low volume and when i turn it up goes into protect. Any ideas of what this problem could be?

I'm looking for an amp that will power it along with a secondary battery and then the best way to build a box to go into a Toyota Corolla trunk Whether it's sub port back, sub back port back etc What are some great amp brands that will rms 2000-3500 watts and sustain play It can be bang for buck or bigger price range Also would a aero port be better or regular port space wise and effiecency wise Thank you very much

This the Design of the box that i made out of my old wardrobe I have build the box already but im going to be taking it apart to tidy it up and carpet it, i will have pictures of my system and cars up a.s.a.p 10" jbl 1000 watt subwoofer toxic 800 watt Amp 4 channels Kenwood USB headunit In my run around it has standard speakers My project car have Fli (by Vibe) Door speakers Vibe rectangle 6x9's (I use them as sub's) Vibe 4 gauge wiring Deep cycle yellow top battery
  4. Alright guys I have an issue, I'm just not sure exactly where or what. Ill try to include as many details as possible. My current set up: 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee with "premium" speakers and amp. Details on that here Pioneer AVH-5500BHS bypassed Rockford Fosgate T1500.1BD 1 15" Fi BL @ 1Ohm 4GA power wire So to my issue. I've had this amp for about a year and a half now. About 6 months ago i noticed that occasionally I would hear a very high pitched humming and my amp wouldn't come on. This always happened when I started my car, i assumed that it was because the inside of my Jeep was hot so it went into protective mode. Yesterday it happened again, drove it home, left about an hour later (parked in shade) and it came right back on. This morning I was driving to work and it was working fine and suddenly my amp died. Got to work and checked the fuse, it was blown. I've never blown a fuse until today. Thought it was a fluke and put another in at lunch, it was hot inside my Jeep again (all black is HELL) and it did the humming so let it sit. about 30 mins later it came on when i stared my Jeep. Started to listen to a song and the moment I turned it up I blew another damn fuse! 2 in one day, what the hell! I come home disconnect my amp, check all of my wiring which i believe is good. Reconnect all of it, I have the power light come on the amp.... but no bass. Turn it off and restart my Jeep, and i get the humming, amp isn't on. I learned that the humming is coming from the 2 front speakers on the dash not the amp. Took out the fuse and put it back in, I went to check the power (not running but just power) and i have the light but once again no bass so i turn the Jeep on and now I'm here. Amp not working and humming constantly coming front 2 dash speakers. Does anyone have any ideas of what this could be? Bad wiring somewhere? Faulty factory amp interfering? Bad RF amp? I'm at a loss any help will be greatly appreciated.

I have a sundown saz 1500d v2 I just bought off the org owner ...he had a wreck and needed money for a new car he lost the remote and I need one... so the question is where can I get one, and does the warranty carry form owner to owner if its within the time frame and would it cover the remote??? edit: are ther other remotes that are compatible with my amp?
  6. I am thinking about putting 1 12" Sundown ZV4 12" REV 2 in the trunk of my bmw 530i. Most likely going to face the box towards the seats since my seats fold all the way down. I will most likely get a 220 amp H/O alt from exsessive amperage, its about the biggest I could find from a notable company (singer, mechman, dc power, or anyone else that might be named has already been contacted and they wont make one for my car). I will probably have 2 extra batts (xs power d3100s probably) and a stock replacement, big 3 and a couple runs of 0 guage ran. My questions are, What size amp can I get away with here? I was hoping to go with a sundown SCV-3000d just to keep it in the sundown family. Would this be too much for a single ZV4 12? Reccomendations welcome... Would a straight back facing box or maybe a rear deck blowthrough get me better numbers? Would the elictrical I have be enough to keep this amp happy? Please help me out, all opinions are welcome. Any opinions on possible numbers? Any help is greatly appreciated. (No im not a "sundown fanboy" I actually just had a 15" FI BTL N2 on a BC3500d in my last vehicle, I just dont have the room for it in this one and wanted to try something new)
  7. I ordered a Skar Rp800.1d on 4/26 and they called me later in the day and said they were out and I would have to wait. I agreed and I'm not on here to talk bad about Skar, I'm just wondering if anybody else is waiting for them to restock like me.
  8. With 4 evl 8’’, to 1ohm configurations, how big an amp should i get to safely get the most of the 4 subs??
  9. Have a Rockford R1000.1D amp that does 1k rms at 2ohms and wanted to upgrade woofers to get the best SPL and SQ for it and possibly for the price. I know Level 2s are rated at 600rms and 3s at 900rms but ive heard that DC subs are underrated and was curious what would be best? Ive been told to get a Level 2 by a few people already....
  10. Hello everyone im new to the forums just made an account today but I've always looked for info on here just finally made an account. I recently ordered my dd1 recently and finally got it home today. Ive always had friends tune my amps in the past but this time I wanted to give it a try myself. My amps are autotek sm4 1000.4 and autotek MM2500.1 if yall needed to know. When I go and set my gains up on the amps im not sure what to turn up and down. I have went through all the topics and couldn't really understand much so that's why im asking. 4 multi amp it says put in full and db at 0 but for the LPF and HPF do I just crank both all the way or leave it alone? Because it says turn frequency all the way up. Im new to tuning so I am unsure on what to turn up or down on HPF and LPF. Mono 0db subsonic, level, bass nob, and LPF so do I put the bass nob all the way up and crank the subsonic and LPF all the way before I do the ggains? Im not too sure on subsonic and LPF If yall can help guide me through this that would be wonderful and any information is appreciated thankyou everyone!

  13. I have heard a lot of people saying that if you let your voltage drop too often or too much it can cause your amp to go bad after a wile. Is this true??
