I finally added the AMM-1 to my toolbox. I received it last week and of course I decided to do some bench testing with it. However, I was pretty disappointed to discover that my DD-1 and Oscilloscope are both detecting clipping BEFORE my AMM-1 does. (See Attached Video) Can anyone else with an AMM-1 and a DD-1 or Oscilloscope confirm this same performance? My DD-1 is the older "Made in the USA" version but my AMM-1 is the newer "Made in China" version, so could it be a quality control issue? I'm just wondering if I might have gotten a defective AMM-1 or something. I mean it's gotta be defective right? You can clearly see the signal is clipped on the oscilloscope long before the AMM-1 ever picks it up. Of course the DD-1 is all over it though so why would the $450 AMM-1 not be performing just as good as the DD-1? I tried sending an Email to [email protected] but haven't received a reply yet. @meade916@TonyD'Amore O-Scope vs DD-1 vs AMM-1.mp4

I have been looking forever and still nothing found. I need a FLAC test track download to play through my Iphone for the DD-1+. I only found a -0DB FLAC download but cannot for the life of my find a download for the Overlap track. Does anyone know where i can download a FLAC overlap track or at least tell me the difference between the 2 tracks so i know if i can just use a regular -5 or -10 track? TIA

So I saw the manual that said use -10 for loud setting. So what is the -15 used for? Wouldn't that be used for louder sound? I did some research and found music these days whether it be pop or hip hop use a range between -12 to -14 on their recordings.

I was just wondering what happened to the release date for the dd-1s I put in an order at http://skyhighcaraudio.com and the 150 was taken out of my paypal but now the Expected release date is May 14th 2018 and earlier today it said the 12th ???? Were there simply too many pre-orders? I'm not trying to wine or rush it as I don't need mine until near the end of this month anyways, just wondering what happened.

Ok so i have seen many different answers on this and I am wondering on what is the correct answer. so my head unit is a pioneer FHX-520ui now on the head unit there is a bass Level, not bass boost but bass level it goes from -24 to + 6 its default setting is 0 when i am DD-1 tuning my set up should i set this at 0 or+ 6 or somewhere in between, i'm assuming this is Gain from the rca outputs, and if it does not matter what are the beniffits of tuning at 0 or +6 i just want to tune it for the best possible output, what i am currently running is in my signature as well, I also plan on upgrading to an AVH deck with 4v pream outputs because i feel like i can get better bass response out of these subs.

Ok, so I have a Pioneer AVH#### head unit, and the volume it distorts at is 37. So when adjusting the gain on the JAD 1200.1 I can max out the gain on the amp and still get no distortion, but even when I have the gain all the way up and put the actual head unit into distortion above 37 I still get no distortion from the amplifier. I do notice that when adjusting the gains I hit tiny bits of distortion but it quickly goes away. Could there possibly be an issue somewhere with the amp? Has anyone had any similar issues? Note that I have 2 of these amps and I get similar results with both of them. I know it may be a slim chance both of them would have the same problems, but you never know.

Does anyone in the DFW area have a DD-1 that can help me with my amps? I can pay you for your help. I just wanted to check and see if somebody close has one before I go and buy one for myself. Thanx

So after getting to play with the Skar Audio VVX subs - http://www.stevemead...-audio-vvx-12s/ we were anxious to try the amps of the same brand.... and here they are, in Russia, posing for a quick photoshoot along with the awesome SMD DD-1 and CC-1 that we got from Steve We already had the VVX12's out of the Audi (and sold actually as quite a few people were very impressed by their abilities) and the Sundown z12v2's with d1 coils in.... so this meant we could take two SK1500.1's and and run them bridged @ 1ohm (0.5 nominal per amp) Gains were set using the SMD DD-1, to ensure that there is no clipping. here's a good vid playing Gucci, moving quite a bit of air and being slightly loud with 148+ @30hz on the meter (I know it's hard to see in the vid) and here's the clamp of the power figures @ 148.4 we got 2930 watts of clean power from two amps with a rise to 2.5ohms and a drop to 11.6v.....this is also after about an hour of testing and playing music on drained batteries...... which is damn good, especially at this low a frequency Overall, the amps are great, very well built, sound extremely plesant and are stable below 1ohm Good job Skar Audio!
