Hey everyone! So I've got 2 kicker L7 15's that I'm running on a kicker zx2500.1 @ 2 ohms in my small suv. Basically I need advice for the new box I'm building based on my habits and the power I'm putting to them -This set up is for my daily driver (1998 4runner) and I listen to a lot of rap -I want them to pound and hit lows well when I turn em up -My maximum space in my trunk is: W:38in. x H:32in. x D:21in. so up to 12.56 cubic feet of gross volume -The box and port will be facing up. I'm considering doing the port back and on the bottom so I wont have to bend it -I'm planning on putting them together in a single chamber I know kicker recommends up to 6 cu. ft. of net volume per sub for these subs for "SPL/DeepBass" however I'm wondering with the power I'm putting to them if I should go smaller like around 4 or 5 cubic feet. Overall my questions are: -How many cubic feet should I make my box? -What frequency should I tune my box to? -Any other hints based on my needs? Thanks guys!

So just messing around in WinIsd, I saw that a 8w3 has a good response curve that I like when in a 2 cubic foot box and tuned to 28 hz. But, seeing as this is only an 8 inch sub, would it still "work" in a 2 cu ft box? And do what it says it would do? If any one has any experience with the 8w3's and good setups, feel free to share. Thanks

So I'm looking to put car speakers in my home theater setup, for curiosity and something to do. I'm specifically looking at 6.5 components, audioque/pioneer/focal/jl audio. My question is how big of an enclosure should I make for the midranges? And would ported be worth the effort? I've never done this before so I would like to get this right the first time... Thanks

Hello everyone I need some help determining wat my subwoofer enclosure is tuned to. My box is made for four 12"s, I bought it off a buddy of mine. He had four dd 9512s in it.. I tried using the winsid and Torres box calculator but not ashamed to say I didn't no wat I was doing. Here's the measurements, it was 43"w. 33"l. 22"h external dimensions. Port dimensions were 19"w. 4.25"h and the vent was 22 inches long. The box consisted of .75 wood thickness all the way around with a double baffle on top... There was bracing in the inside of the box. I hope this is enough info for you guys.

Hello everyone I'm curious about a few things, I heard people say the audioque hdc3s don't like lows. Wouldn't it come down to your enclosure size and tuning/power. How many cubes would it take to get these batboys to drop some low notes (35-30hz). I have a four 15" box that approx can give each sub 3.8 cubes each with two ports that 110 square inches per pair , so basically 220 square inches of port with a port length of 24 inches. I'm wondering will this box work for these subs. I just picked up two sundown 3500s. Let me no wat you guys think.
