Just arrived. Skar has some fast service. Total time from when I ordered it to when it arrived at my door was 3 days. This thing looks and feels like a little beast. On with the pics. Box arrive in one piece with no holes or rips Here it is in the clam shell it arrives in. It's not cheap thin foam either. Out of the box. This thing just looks sexy and I love the full dish cone Pic of the terminals and the motor. Dat ass Size comparison with a can of dew Boot off Tiny crack in the motor I ordered this from the end of year/refurbished sale that Skar has going on. I think I was lucky enough to get a reconed one as I can still smell the ca glue. It is stiff but moves like it should. The only thing that concerns me is the crack in the magnet pictured above. It shouldnt hurt it I dont think. Overall I'm happy with my purchase. Skar gets an A+ in my book for their fast service. Cant wait to get this hooked up and slamming. Thanks again Kevin

I just ordered a skar zvx 15 and didn't know what kind of box to make. So I figured who better to get deminsions that the owner Kevin who has a zxv15. If anyone could help me I'm really intrested in acquiring the deminsions and tuning of Kevin zvx15 box!!! Thanks...

Allright i have been on here a long time. just browsing. i usually have nothing to add. im here to learn. i love cars and car audio. on my days off i go to my friends shop(who is doing the wall and the doors on my car) just to watch and be around cars. anyways im from eustis florida, and i will be at SBN 2012, so come check it out! heres the equipment that is/and will be going into it. subs stage.. 6 skar VVX 12s in a ported wall tuned to 36hz. Crescendo BC5500. knukonceptz OFC speaker wire, 8 gauge leads to 12 guage into the subs front stage.. 4 O2 audio component sets fiberglassed doors crescendo 1600.2 Misc. all knukoncepz wiring pioneer AVH-4300 DC power 270XP alternator. 3 G31 batteries in the back for now. second skin damp pro.. i feel like there is alot more to it but i cant think of it right now..i have everything except for the BC5500 which i am ordering next week. the wall and the doors will also be done next week and will of course post picture when that is done. heres a few pictures i have of my car and its current state. We had a customer that came to us wanting to upgrade the stock stereo system in his 2002 Ford Excursion to Skar Audio! He wanted it to be loud but also wanted it to sound clean, so we went to work! What we installed: 3 Pairs of Skar Audio RPX68's 2 Skar Audio VD-12's in a custom built enclosure 1 Skar Audio LP-80.4ABv2 4-Channel Amplifier 1 Skar Audio LP-1000.1D Monoblock Amplifier 1 Pioneer AVH-X4700BS Head Unit 1 Back Up Camera 1 Audiovox 13.3" Flip Down Monitor Onto the photos! Here are some before photos! RPX68's! LP-80.4ABv2 and LP-1000.1Dv2 installed underneath the 2nd row seats! Onto the enclosure! Finished Product! I just recently bought a skar vvx-12 d4 from the end of the year sale. Just got it hooked up today and rode around bumpin for a bit. I noticed a very faint coil smell. Is this normal for a new woofer? Equipment is in my sig. I have no way to tell If I'm clipping but the sub nor the amp were hot, only barely warm. Amp settings: LPF: 40 hz ( Lowest it will go) Subsonic: About 28-30 hz I think ( range is 5-50 hz and its set a little over half) Gain: A tad over a 1/4 Bass Boost: Completely off Bass Boost Frequency: Completely off HU settings: LPF: 70 hz HPF (Front and Back): 150hz Subwoofer Level: 15/15 Bass Boost: Off
