this is my first build log. previously i have had 2 15' re audio sxx's in a 8 cube box tuned to 34 hrz. my best numbers were 147 sealed on the dash. currently i have 2 ssa icon 18's in a 10 cube box tuned to 36 hrz. currently i have no real upgrade to the electrical besides 1\0 big 3. my amp is a xtx 5000.1 wired to 2 ohms.
These are the plans for the new box that i'm building for my 2002 Explorer, and yes it will fit. It's for 4 18" Acoustic Audio 18's, so yes this is a budget build. As in under $800 build... but here's the specs for the box: 1" MDF all around Dimensions: 40 x 39 x 22 Port Dimensions: 20 x 37.5 x 3.5 Gross Volume: 16.27 ft^3 Tuning Frequency: 29.41Hz Port Area: 131.25 in^2 there will be a 1/4 sheet of MDF on top of the face sheet for counter sink... This is similar to lil_wallbangers 4 18 box as far as port design. the subs are "Light weights" and only weigh 17 pounds each... but that's all my budget allows. but ill still build the box up to 1 1/2 to 3" or so..
