meade916 Posted February 5, 2015 Author Report Share Posted February 5, 2015 Gotta say thanks to Jay next door at the body shop. This man did a great job painting up the bezel and when i asked if he wanted to paint the little car (switch box) for me, he was totally down He really did a kick ass job color matching it! The bezel is done and looking fabulous but we found a little tiny flaw in it and instead of letting it ride, Jay sanded his clear down and then re shot it. Should be ready tomorrow. in the mean time, i FINALLY got the switch box done! Been meaning to do this for a long time. meade916 Posted February 11, 2015 Author Report Share Posted February 11, 2015 So Chicken came by to take a look at the Caddy. To my surprise, he said "i wanna take it home". I was like, can i get one more day to make sure it's all good? He was like, sure. But then he was like, "fuck that i'm driving this home". LOL - so who was i to say no. It's his ride. so off into the sunset he drove. 48 minutes into a 1hr drive, he blew an air line. He had to get towed home . But first thing the next morning (today) , i drove up to see what happened. Turns out there was a huge hole blown out of one of the lines. It wasn't near anything hot, it wasn't rubbing on anything. It just failed and blew out. A NICE size hole too. First time i have ever seen that in all my years of doing bags. Anyhow, i was able to fix him up within 10 minutes and all is well again. Here is the Hoopty, back at the pad, chillin' like a villain . He said it rides GREAT and i know it hasn't ever rode good since 2002.....so i am happy! and so is he. Chicken wasn't even mad that the line blew. Took it all in stride.
