Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think you can even hear clipping. That is what the Oscope is for, so you can see where the sign wave clips off at the peaks.

Course you can, if it sounds like complete shit (distortion) then your obviously clipping)

I use the 105, and my subwoofer volume is maxed out at 15, and my main volume never goes past 24 which is normally no clipping to a slight clip (depending on song).

but if your using imprint and your sub stage is rather loud compared to your front/rear stage, imprint will turn your sub stage down to equalize everything. So your better of tuning imprint with the subs turned down or else it will be limited so bad you will never get full power from your subs amp.

Yea you will obviously be clipping at that point, but what your hearing is distortion, not clipping, right? Cause the actual clipping starts before you can hear it I thought. Just cause your not distorted doesn't mean your not clipping from what I understand and the ONLY way to know for sure is with an Oscope.

true, many people tune their system by ear and have 0 problems with it though.

Yea I understand not everyone has access to an Oscope and rely only on their ears, hell I've tuned alot of systems by ear. I was just making the point that you can't HEAR clipping cause it's not a noise, it's a sign wave that is clipped off at the peaks.
