I have a Kicker 15in L7 , hooked up to a Kicker Dx1000.1 amp. I have it facing towards the trunk, and it rattles like crazy. When I turn it up, people turn their heads at the rattling, not the bass. Its sad. If you want to know what I mean, here the link for the video, the rattling is at the towards the end. Any suggestions on how I could fix the rattle? My car is a 1990 Buick Park Avenue. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZSx21DLQ_nw

Sound deadener works wonders.

what happens when your CD player skips and you accidentally drop a 22 hz sine bomb at an unholy volume on 7-8 year old subs? Mechanical failure floppy sub knockage on at least 2.

well...as i see the level 6 is compared to a lamborghini.....but a corvette?

i was thinking more like a chevy volt. its cute and new and "hip", but i would just rather stick my dick in a blender.........

good lord and i thought my rattle was bad. you can buy sound deadening products, such as audio technix or second skin (a more well known one would be dynamat) and apply it to the underside of the trunk with a wooden roller and it will be reduced significantly.

I really like your idea of a new car! Haha if only I had the money :P

By the way it sounds like your sub is clipping, you might want to back your amp off a little bit and see if it makes a difference

One thing would be the sound deadener.

But if you don't want to spend your money, take that "spoiler" off. That's is your main problem. You're rattle won't disappear but it'll be a whole lot less than that.

You can tell on a video, it's probably just the camera mic. distorting.

To the OP, holy bejebus that is bad, try lots and lots of deadener, if that doesn't work, change your system so that the sub is sealed off into the cabin, or in a bandpass ported through the rear deck.

I think though that the main question that should be asked is why do you drive around blasting it?

But let's not start that argument.
