that Amp "behind the glass case" - What amp DID you want that you NEVER got?

Even on the limited amount of money I've been able to spend on audio, I've always found a way to get the amps I've dreamed of. But I'd like like to have a US amps VLX400. The surfboard amp (in purple lol), that is one amp I'd love to have my fingers on! Next dream amp on the list is a Cactus Sound K9, and I'll most likely have one eventually. Oh yeah, and anything Audison. I look at their amps at least once a week, maybe someday... I see a lot of people wanting a Soundstream Class A 10.0, I think that's funny because I had one and could not sell the damn thing to save my life. Ended up trading it to Forevrbumpn for softparts and HIDs.

I know who has the amps in that picture, pics do those things no justice. Also a dream amp of mine. I've been told there was old advertisement with them welding with it lol

My top 3 back in the day were...

- early 90's HiFonics Colossus VII

- Early 90's Rockford Fosgate Power 1000c Mosfet

- Early 90's Orion 2100 HCCA

Well, I've been lucky enough to find two of the three...

Also, here was another "mythical" amp...the Phoenix Gold MPH6300. When it first hit the Car Audio Directories in the early 90's, it listed for $13,000, a few years later rising to $99,000. Rumor has it Phoenix Gold only made one and they weren't planning on selling it.

As with many old school amps, it wasn't rated to deliver huge amounts of power. This one was rated at 75w x 6, yet was 46" long and weighed 116lbs!

I've looked through this, and you guys all have listed some really sweet amps, most of which I would love to have any day!

The amp I have always wanted, but never got, wasn't anything exotic or rare..

I have always dreamed of owning a nice, powerful Rockford Fosgate amp.

The models I have wanted have changed a few times, started out wanting a Punch 40 back in the early 90's. And now it's the Power series 2500.1.

I know, common right? I can't help it. For some reason, I really want to run them, but never get to do it :( Maybe one day...
