The reason your shit blows is probably due to you using cheaply built stuff and/or clipped signals..

Edit: and I overpower subs to get the most out of them..I know for a fact that any company I get a sub from that's rated "600" Rms can take 1k plus, whether it's the 2515, level 3, sa series or sdc2.5

c'mon now, if i was shooting an 8 year old, it wouldnt be MY 8 year old.

i recently got a Pyle PL1590BL and i was building an enclosure for it tuned to 25 hz. i didn't have any tools to cut a circle so i hit it with a big hammer.

I can't wait to see the outcome of it man, make sure to post up some pictures and videos ;)

Are you installing it yourself or getting it professionally done?

Bassless once again. Can't seem to keep a system for more than a few weeks :)

Saving for a '06 Nissan 350z, look for build around June 2012.

not to jerk your chain . . but why do you guys like to overpower a sub if its rated at 1000rms than why not give it 1000rms . . . because i try to do tha a couple of times and it fucke up my shit . . . but maybe i dont know my shit.

you feel out your subs to what they like, not just throw a random number at them. A lot of people have used DC XLs and the general consensus is they like more than 1500rms. I have had a DC lvl 4 for a while and 1k didnt cut it, it took about 1200-1500rms to max it out.

Could be clipping or just pure overpowering.

It can easily handle 1500w :D

but i hope my amp stays cool and wont shutdown . . . cause once i tried hooking up two mtx 9515-44 parallel to 1ohm and in 10 min got hot an shutoff . . .

but i think that was because the wattage combined was too high for the amp . . dunno realy

If that's the case, I would actually sell your amplifier and get something along the lines of the Aq1200. It puts out 1200wrms of clean power at 1ohm, has a clipping indicator so you would be able to watch out for clipped signals that may damage your amp, and you would be sticking with the Aq family :)
